著者について
Pat Mills is the creator and first editor of 2000 AD. He developed Judge Dredd and is the writer-creator of many of 2000 AD’s most popular stories such as Sláine, Nemesis and A.B.C. Warriors. Amongst his credits are Marshal Law (Marvel and DC Comics), co-created with Kevin O’Neill, the French graphic novel series Requiem, Vampire Knight with artist Olivier Ledroit, and Be Pure! Be Vigilant! Behave! The Secret History of 2000 AD and Judge Dredd. His current projects include Joe Pineapples: Tin Man, illustrated by Simon Bisley and Clint Langley, Spacewarp, and Kiss My Axe! The Secret History of Sláine the Warped Warrior.
His characters all spiky lines and outsized boots, Mick McMahon – some times known as Mike – co-created perennial 2000 AD favourites The V.C.s, and provided Tharg with many classic episodes of Judge Dredd, Ro-Busters, A.B.C. Warriors and Sláine. Outside of the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic, he drew an adventure with the original Cybermen for Doctor Who Magazine; Sonic the Hedgehog for Sonic the Comic; and, in America, issues of Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight plus the mini-series Tattered Banners and The Last American, the latter co-created with John Wagner and Alan Grant.
Perhaps the most popular 2000 AD artist of all time, Brian Bolland’s clean-line style and meticulous attention to detail ensure that his artwork on strips including Dan Dare, Future Shocks, Judge Dredd and Walter the Wobot looks as fresh today as it did when first published. Co-creator of both Judge Anderson and The Kleggs, Bolland’s highly detailed style unfortunately precluded him from doing many sequential strips — although he found the time to pencil both Camelot 3000 and Batman: The Killing Joke for DC Comics.
Dave Gibbons is one of 2000 AD’s most popular artists, having co-created Harlem Heroes and Rogue Trooper. He has also pencilled A.B.C. Warriors, Dan Dare, Judge Dredd, Mega-City One, Ro-Busters, Tharg the Mighty, Tharg’s Future Shocks and Time Twisters, as well as having scripted several Rogue Trooper stories – making Gibbons one of the few 2000 AD creators to have served as writer, artist and letterer! Beyond 2000 AD, Gibbons is unquestionably best known for his work on the award-winning classic Watchmen (with Alan Moore), but he has also drawn Batman, Doctor Who, Give Me Liberty, Green Lantern, Superman, Star Wars and his graphic novel, The Originals.
Brendan McCarthy began working for 2000 AD in its early days and as his style developed, he created and designed many memorable strips for the comic, including the British, Japanese and OZ judges, the Judda/Chopper storyline, Zenith and Sooner or Later. His later comics work includes the celebrated Rogan Gosh, the controversial, banned Skin, the influential Strange Days, the Dr Strange/Spider-Man series Fever for Marvel and more recently. The Zaucer of Zilk for 2000 AD (being re-published by IDW in the US). During the eighties, he moved into designing pop videos and then went on to create the visuals for the groundbreaking hit cgi animated TV series Reboot. This led to work in Hollywood on such projects as the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, Lost In Space and Highlander. He also co-wrote and designed the new instalment of the Mad Max franchise called Fury Road, with director George Miller. Brendan currently has a big new cgi animated feature film and a bizarre new comic series (Nano Nano) in the works.
Garry Leach is a highly-respected artist who has pencilled Dan Dare, Judge Dredd, Tharg’s Future Shocks and The V.C.’s. His career beyond 2000 AD is highly notable for his work on the legendary Miracleman, which he effectively co-created with Alan Moore.

Man beachte: Die Comics sind komplett schwarz-weiß und die Cover sind erst am Ende des Buches.
Contained in the volume are as follows:
Vienna- a story containing the biggest plot hole imaginable with Dredd's niece sired from the loins of his evil brother Rico. Obviously the writers forgot that all Judges, former or current, are celibate. This was later fixed with Rico having relations with one of the workers on the prison planet Titan.
City Block- introduces the concept of the towering, self-contained "Celebrity Named" apartment complexes.
Tales From Walter's Scrapbook- two really fantastic stories featuring everyone's favorite lisping wobot Walter as told by him to other robots at the laundromat.
The Forever Crimes- a "who dun it?" style strip about wealthy elderly people who are put in stasis to help preserve whatever precious moments they have left. This was also featured as a free online strip on 2000 AD's webpage for a time.
Father Earth- Mutant environmental extremists from The Cursed Earth seek to push Mega-City 1 onto the brink of extinction. One of the two "epics" in the volume.
The Guinea Pig That Changed the Law- Story revolving about experimentation on animals
Night Of The Fog- A strange series of murders has been taking place in District 6, really great twist ending
Battle For The Black Atlantic- Features the return of the sinister Soviet Judges of East Meg 1 in a plot gain control of Mega City 1 after their shameful defeat during the Luna-City Olympic Games (see Complete Case Files 01). First appearance of the polluted "Black Atlantic", a huge hazardous ocean on the boarders of The Cursed Earth that would become moderately important as a prologue of a future epic.
Dredd & The Mob Blitzers- Dredd's on hand to bodyguard to the severed, but still living head potential witness Joe "Lips" Lazarus so that he may have an opportunity to reveal the crimes of mob boss Elmo Hammer.
Sob Story- Due to severe overcrowding, a lot of citizens are forced to live on Mo-Pads (think RVs) as they travel along the huge stretch of highway the covers the city. Seems as though a lot of people that live on these Mo-Pads are going missing after being featured on "Sob Story", a vid programme where citizens air their grievances in hopes of receiving large sums of credits. Features the first appearance of the world's ugliest man, Otto Sump.
The Great Muldoon- A circus performer attempts his most daring feat, fazing straight through a thick steel plate into a pool of water.
The Invisible Man- A crook has been robing banks left and right, but when the Justice Department checks the security cameras, there's nothing to be seen.
Palais de Boing- A new miracle plastic known as "Boing" is the current "flavor of the month" of Mega City 1 (think liquid bouncy balls in an aerosol can). Unfortunately there are those who choose to use it outside of designated areas.
Death Of A Judge- Shows why Judges are as emotionally mechanical as they are
Night Of The Bloodbeast- No, this isn't a MST3K episode, but rather the return of the alien Alligator men known as the Kleggs from "The Day The Law Died" (See Complete Case Files 02)
The Great Plasteen Disaster-Another new miracle material known as "Plasteen" is being enjoyed by the citizens of Mega-City 1. It's extremely versatile and can firm as concrete or as soft as silk. Unfortunately, there's a strain of bacteria that hopped on board a space shuttle that has quite an appetite for it
The Black Plague- Deep in the Atomic Dessert of the Cursed Earth, a strain of extremely venomous spiders are wrecking havoc on the muties. The only other "epic" of the volume.
Christmas Comes to Des O'Connor Block- Meet Barney (no, not that one), The City Hall computer who just loves to please, maybe a little too much....
Uncle Ump's Umpty Candy- When one man concocts a new and unique taste sensation that Mega-City 1 can't get enough of, riots occur.
New Years is Cancelled- A brainac child holds the city for ransom, threatening to detonate 5 bombs hidden across the city unless he's proclaimed king.
Judge Minty- An elderly Judge retires. He is given the option of either becoming a teacher at the Academy Of Law or taking "The Long Walk", where a Judge spends the last days of his natural born life walking the Cursed Earth "taking the law to the lawless". Currently in the process of being turned into a fantastic looking fan film: [...]
Alien Seeds- Hey folks! Grow your own aliens, watch as your friends scream and writhe in pain as your critters savagely devour them whole!
Judge Death- As if the cover wasn't enough, one of Dredd's greatest adversaries makes his grand debut in this volume. Hailing from a parallel dimension known as "Dead World" where even the simple act of living is viewed as a crime by the twisted and sinister Dark Judges Death, Fear, Mortis, and Fire, Death seeks to bring his brand of religion to the uncleansed masses of Mega City 1. Also features the first appearance of the physic Judge Anderson.
The Blood Of Satanus- The return of the resurrected dinosaur menace from the Cursed Earth storyline, but not in the way you'd think.
Overall, this is a wonderful volume that shouldn't be missed by anyone who's a fan of the Lawman. There also seems to be a rather interest problem with my own personal volume on the spine where it showcases which progs the stories appeared in. They're labeled as the same as the ones in Complete Case Files 02 (61-115). Now I'm not sure if this was a typo or just a misprint, but it's wrecking havoc on my OCD
