Hard to get the volume loud but finally did it!
(I added cricket stickers to my buttons). At first, the buttons were very quiet. I've been working with my dog, and he is grasping the concept. After a week or 2, excitingly, for the first time, he pushed a button with his nose!!! However, even though I was standing there, I couldn't hear what button he pushed. I recorded words from a German speaker off my computer so It would be very clear. My computer was a full volume and I had the buttons very close to the computer speaker. But it was too quiet. The product description states that they have improved volume so I kept working with them. Finally, I talked as loud as I could (pretty much yelling), directly into the speaker and now they are loud enough. I will recommend these to other dog owners but I suggest the company keeps working on the volume.
