I use the Sea-Band wrist bands and then supplement with the ginger gum for any breakthrough nausea. The combination really works for me. I think the gum tastes good for what it is and the packaging makes it easy to pop in your purse or bag when out for a day on the water. If you suffer from motion sickness and I recommend you give it a try. There really does seem to be something to it and I have tried all sorts of things in the past. This combination with the wrist bands works best for me.

I've tried a LOT of stuff to combat my motion sickness, and if I'm not the one driving, you can count that I'll get nauseous on a long drive. On the plane, I can't do much otherwise I start to get sick. I've thrown up in the car on curvy (not even wind-y) drive, that's how bad my motion sickness can get.

And then I found these.
OMG, I could finally move around on the plane and reach down to grab my bags without feeling sick. I could sit in the back of the car and not have that feeling churn in my stomach up to my throat.

I've tried ginger candy, straight up ginger, all kinds of anti-nausea medication prior to travel, the infamous little white pill that comes in a tube that supposedly helps (the time I threw up, that was what I took 1/2 hour prior to being on that drive.) Bands, and even self acupressure haven't helped.

These are my life saver, seriously. If you've tried everything, and are tired of feeling like crap while traveling, just try these, and let's get back to living life.

5 minute solution!

This is an okay gum for the first 5 minutes. It is so strong in flavor for those first 5 minutes, so it overcomes whatever other feeling you may have going on for those 5 minutes, as you are focused on getting over the strength of that ginger flavor haha, and sometimes 5 minutes of nausea relief is all you need. But if you are looking for a long term solution, this gum wont be enough :)

I don't know why when I check reviews for the Sea Band Ginger Gum I only see reviews for the acupressure band made by Sea Band, but this review is for the gum, not the band.
My wife, who's in her 60's, gets unexplained nausea almost every morning and sometimes in the afternoon. It usually passes after a half hour and it has not caused vomiting, but her doctor can't explain why it happens and his anti-emetic prescriptions (Zofran, Zantac) did not seem to make a difference. She also tried Dramamine and peppermint extract, but neither made it go away any faster. However, this ginger gum seems to work very quickly and does the trick. Just one or two gum tablets and she feels fine soon after. She now carries them with her in her purse and so far (a couple of weeks) they've worked every time. We still can't explain the nausea but at least she can deal with it.
