First impressions were good. Unit was easy to set up. To add or drain oil you will need to literally lie on the ground to do so. For some that may be an issue and at 120 pounds just lifting it up on to a workbench likely not possible for 1 person. Then I noticed the front face plate had damage (see photos). The box did not arrive in a damaged state that would suggest it had occurred during shipping. I have contacted customer support and will update with how that works out. **excellent customer service, received replies to my emails in less the 24 hours, they will be shipping the replacement for the damaged part, very pleased with their quick resolving of the problem**I ran it for the 1st hour as part of the break in period and the clock showed 3 hours. Now perhaps it is ran for a couple of hours as part of the quality control process but I will watch that closely to see if it is accurate. Ran it for a 2nd hour after changing the oil and the unit was surging at idle now. Most common cause is a partial blockage of the idle jet in the carburetor- not something one would expect after less than 2 hours of operation. **added some mechanic in a bottle and the surging is no longer a problem and the unit has been running perfectly**
Hoping these issues are resolved quickly and without hassle. Unit does appear well constructed and fired right up- but can go either way with if I could recommend this brand/model.
