I bought these a while ago and they were pretty good- kind of light on the flavor and the consistency was alright but hey the ingredients are amazing. Bought them again recently and I think they must have made adjustments because I was surprised how good they are! So, along with the changed zip-like closure to the bag, the Real Berry cereal tastes changed, as well.

Cereal in previous bags that had zip and Velcro closure tasted better. New cereal in zip bag without the Velcro is now more similar to Cocoa flavor (we don't like or buy the Cocoa flavor) in that 1)flavor appears to be sprayed on, 2) tastes more "cardboardy" as other reviewers stated, but it's still yummy, 3)cereal breaks differently--used to have lots of small round pieces but no longer--which is a ln improvement :)).

Reason for 4 stars is that my son still loves it and seems to like that cereal keeps it's flower shape better, without all the broken pieces from the old version. I love the wholesome, natural ingredients and tastiness makes that make this cereal great for breakfasting and snacking.

I bought this because a youtuber I like highly recommended it, and it has a very weird aftertaste. I don't mind unconventional ingredients, I use them quite often. I bake with almond flour or oat flour. I even like super dark chocolate. I don't need a lot of sugar to like something. This was just so weirdly bland. There was hardly any chocolate taste at all, it was hard to chew and hurt my teeth, and it was overall unpleasant.

To get it at all, I had to order a 3 pack, I couldn't just try the one. In order to do that I'd have to drive all the way to Whole Foods or something in another city. I figured well, this youtuber usually has great recommendations so I'll give it a try.

My husband salvaged it by mixing it with Nutella. But that totally defeats the purpose of a healthy cereal. It would be nice if there were healthy options out there that actually tasted good.
