Environmentally Friendly Aluminum Foil From a Respected Brand
I try to make environmentally conscious product choices when possible, so I was excited to see that Reynolds Wrap now offers recycled aluminum foil. According to the product information printed on the package, the aluminum foil, the box, and the tube are all made from 100% recycled materials. The package also asserts that the recycled aluminum foil is "food safe", and the manufacturer's website further explains that the foil is as safe to use as that made from new aluminum, since the metal is molten down at temperatures in excess of 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit.This recycled aluminum foil is the same strength and thickness as Reynolds Wrap's "Everyday Foil". It works well and is very pliable, but be aware that it's a bit thinner than "Heavy Duty Foil". If you happen to be wrapping something with sharp edges or corners, they may poke through the foil if you wrap hastily. (I had this happen with a crust edge when wrapping leftover pizza.) But I find that foil of this thickness is particularly good when wrapping food on top of a plate or platter, as it's easier to mold thinner foil tightly around the edges/sides of dinnerware or bakeware. I also find that this foil tears easily on the serrated metal along the inner edge of the box.I'm very happy with the performance of this foil, and I love that all of the materials are both recycled and recyclable. I also appreciate the fact that this foil is made in the USA. The only reason I'm rating this 4 stars rather than 5 stars is because Reynolds Wrap's Recycled Aluminum Foil is currently about 3x the cost of a comparably sized roll of Reynolds "Everyday Foil". I'm happy to pay a little more for environmentally friendly products, but the significant price differential between the brand's everyday and recycled aluminum foil is enough to give me pause. If the price comes down (it may currently be priced at a premium since it's a newer product), I would definitely reorder. Either way, this Reynolds Wrap Recycled Aluminum Foil is a great choice for those who are committed to making environmentally conscious product choices and who are willing to pay a premium to do so.

Reynolds RECYCLED aluminum foil, 200 sq ft - I purchased 4 rolls as gifts. The foil IS thin. But - it is 100% recycled. 200sq ft is a lot - but like I said it is very thin, so it might mean using a little more. I don't think it's any worse than regular thickness of regular foil - just a bit more expensive. To me, it's worth it. The down side was these were gifts and 2 of the 4 boxes were pretty beat up on the ends. Eh. The shipping process should be re-evaluated as I can see this is an issue that is a trend. I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different.  I receive/accept NO free products or discounts that are not available to all shoppers.

I like this aluminum foil, and it was better than I thought it would be. While I would probably use a thicker extra strength foil on a grill, this serves its purpose in every other way. Like that it is recycled.
