It’s still as relevant as ever.Begin by towel drying washed, clean hair. Scoop a generous amount of Uppercut Deluxe Pomade with your fingertip. Rub the pomade vigorously between fingers and palm to distribute evenly.	Run fingers and palm into hair from front to back, applying pressure to the parting. Run hands back ensuring all the hair is pushed back and flows smoothly from front to back. Using a Styling Comb, comb hair back creating even comb lines all the way through the hair. Use the palm of the hand to flatten the sides down.	You're good to go. A Slick Back requires precision, both in cut and styling. A comb is a must when styling a Slick Back, and there’s no product better for this classic than Deluxe Pomade. I was actually hoping for more of a musky scent...scent is pretty mild. It washes off your hands with just water, so that's a plus, no soap needed. A little goes a long way. I used it on my hair dry and slightly damp and for my thick hair I like the look it leaves with slightly damp hair...not too damp, but not completely dry hair. It gives it a kind of shiny wet look, which is what I was going for. I've also used it in my hair with a diffuser/blow dry and it gives my hair my curl, so it's a good product for doing different things. I would buy it again.

My only con about this pomade is its a little bit on the pricey side but worth it at the end. I love the consistency of the pomade it's easy to use and run through your hair and it holds very well. Where as cheaper pomades are thinner and wear off in a couple of hours.. Also it leaves no residue unlike Suavecito which I switched over from and never went back.. The smell is subtle and not over powering. Best pomade out there right now in my opinion.

Used this brand in the past and loved it. You can choose how much you use to dictate the level of strength for the hold. It’s a higher shine which I like. Best bet is to use a half nail amount and get it between your fingers, run that through your hair so it gets deeper and then finish with another little amount to coat the top layer of your hair. Smells kind of like chocolate too. I have Asian hair which is typically fairly thick and I work real estate so I’m out all the time. This is a good hold during wind and easy to brush back into place. If you want a stronger hold, after placing your hair into place, blow cold air at a very low speed to dry it and have it hold nicely.
