I've had g635 headphones for 8 years. Those were not ideal: heavy, squeaky construction, ecoleather cups started to shed black pieces, usb cord stopped working in 8 months and when it did it almost deafened me with a glitch noise a couple of times. Why I liked them? Be it Call of Duty or Battlefield or any other game, these were the only headphones (I've tried many) which allowed me to setup dtx sound so that I could hear footsteps, noises etc around me and above or beyond without mistake. Don't believe me? search for gaming surround BS: there's a test where only G series headphones gave best results.
These headphones have corrected previous mistakes: they are still a bit squeaky, a bit more heavier than version with the cord, but more bassy and the footsteps (any surround sound actually) gives away your enemy's 3d position in space without mistake. There are plenty of options to go if you wish to improve your experience with these. Pro tip: if you have issues on pc, lower the quality of sound to other than 44hz option in sound settings. The quality in fact will be much better.

Logitech really let me down with this.
I'd like to start off by saying I have never had problems with Logitech products before. I have been using them for decades (mouse/keyboards) and the products are usually top notch lasting YEARS.However this set of headphones really let me down. I bought them in 2020 around Christmas time and the power button like others here have spoken about failed in exactly a year's time, Christmas 2021, and the ear pads and head rest at the top started to flake around the same time. Similar issues happened with the mic flip to mute and unmute option. I thought it was just a bad batch, as you can see in the picture it's still in great condition. I never dropped it, never hit, knocked it, bent it. I take really good care of my things.So I decided to try again and luckily I was still within warranty so I contacted custom service about it to get a replacement because like I said I am a fan of Logitech products and have been using them most of my gaming life. 20+ years. So I really wanted to give them another chance.Customer service was GREAT, let me just say that. They sent a replacement for me with no hassle and this time. This second set I took EVEN greater care of them and to my surprise in almost a year's time it started to fail with the same issues, (power button and flip mic) Sometimes I have to turn it on and off or just touch the power button slightly when I turn it on just to get sound out of both sides of the headset, you can really tell that there is some sort of electrical shorting happening around the power button. Recently the mic wouldn't even come on after the usual power on sound alert. I have to unplug the USB dongle and plug in back in then turn on the headset again and most times that fixes the mic turning on at least. I am really disappointed in this set of headphones from Logitech, a real let down.When it was working it was great, good sound everything but after a year power button and mic issues are the downfall. I really think they need to change the power button from a switch to a press button.TLDR: Headset was great while it lasted, but the power button, the not getting consistent sound on both sides, flip to mute mic failing, and ear pads flaking after a year both times are real issues.. Regretfully I'm gonna have to look elsewhere for a better headset.
