Known for her sass and will to bend the rules, she's bringing a different look at romance, one that makes the fictional seem real.

Ms. Collier, I have to say Troi and Aubree's love was a heart-racing, eye-opening journey. It was a couple of scenes that had me clutching my pearls. I thought Troi's anger was going to get the best of him. I thought it was going to ruin what life he was trying to build and maintain. Although his anger wasn't justified, I understood where it stemmed from. In his mind, he lost two of the three most important women in his life. His mother and Lailani are from the gaming world. Now I have to say I love how he used his brother/father figure role on Rayna. He stepped up in a major way for her. She deserved that kind of love and attention, especially during her last year of high school. That last year is a critical step for the rest of your life plus it holds your high school memories.

Aubree had some healing and building to do herself. She had to build her self-confidence and worth. I was glad when she did and turned it into her bag 💰. Troi and Aubree truly loved each other from a young age. I know Aubree got to know Troi under disguise however he still became the love of her life. She held the love for him all those many years in her heart. It was sad to read how she was bullied and what made her disguise herself. They both had to learn how to forgive themselves and each other.

This is a well-written novel with a great storyline. It's eye-opening because of the turn of events however it touches your heart. You get touched in more than one way. I was glad that healing happened for everyone and Troi sought therapy. He needed to get rid of the chip on his shoulder and channel his anger better. Now I did think that Troi and Aubree were going to start a gaming business. I guess gaming could have been a major trigger. Download and read this masterpiece. Ms. Collier, I am looking forward to your next release.

This was a good read I totally understand Aubrees issue with confidence and body image as a teen because children/teens can be brutal but she could have told him and Troi love for her I think he would have understood but did he have to leave her barefoot to get back home and he didn’t even check on her I would have let him stew in lock up a little while longer

Troi and Aubree fell in love with each other when they met online as teens but that ended badly when Aubree decided to lie to him in a harsh manner. The lies that Aubree told brought about a change in Troi that he carried with him from that point on until adulthood. Years later, Aubree is now a business owner and Troi is going through a rough time in his life. They randomly meet again at her business when Troi is forced to sell something precious to him. Troi and Aubree both had underlying feelings and issues that they both had to deal with in order for them to have a more meaningful relationship and I was glad that they did.

I enjoyed this story but I felt there were some things I would have liked to see explored about Troi’s past and what happened between them in the present. This couple was meant to be and this was a good second chance novel that focused on forgiveness and allowing oneself to see things from someone else’s perspective and that things are not always as they appear when looking from the inside out and vice versa. I enjoyed the messages that were sprinkled throughout this book on forgiveness and finding your purpose and pursuing your dreams. While I felt there were some things that could have been added to the story to tie some parts together better for me, I do not think those missing parts made me enjoy the book any less. In fact, I wanted to keep reading to see if the questions I had would be answered or explained further and some were. I look forward to seeing what this author will come up with in her next book.

Omgggg. This is book so good to me. Although this is my first time reading this author, I can say I'm very intrigued by her writing skills. This book is very detailed in the story telling and how the set up is. It has some very valuable information in this book. I will be reading her work going forward

I’m all for dark romance and a nice little dibble dabble into a conversation about mental health- I’m all for it. What I’m not here for is toxic, destructive and violent behavior AND excusing it. Nothing Aubree had done should’ve resulted in what he did and I’m so angry Aubree did not let him go and just find someone new or just loved on herself. He could’ve really hurt her, put her in danger, and then made it seem like it was her fault. Like I said, NOTHING Aubree had done should’ve resulted in that. I like this author and the book is well written but I just couldn’t give this book anything more than one star for the simple fact of romanticizing violence. There should’ve been no coming back from that.

I couldn't really get into this book for some reason. Troi just seemed so bitter and angry all the time it was such a turnoff. Then the way he treated her after finding out her secret was overkill. Sure she was dishonest but his actions were completely over the top and super wrong. Then she just forgave him like he didn't just put her life in serious danger and destroy her home. She came off spinless and a push over quite honestly. She seemed so desperate to have him that she put up with anything. Not my cup of tea I like my leading women to have a spine.

The storyline was okay but the part where Troy went to his ex house and when he found out about the catfish incident turned me off from this book. She should’ve called the police on him then and certainly shouldn’t have been pining after him after all that. I’m disappointed in her basically begging this man for another chance when it was no mention of him apologizing or fixing/compensating her for the damage he caused. Definite red flags
