It took me some time to get used to using these, but I think they do reduce the drying time. My shirts do not come out wrinkle free, but if I get the shirts and blouses out just slightly damp and hang them, they are wrinkle free by the time they finish drying. Great for sheets and towels.

First off, there's no weird smells. It would've been nice if the packaging was resealable, I've had to resort to leaving these in a big ziploc bag to protect them when not in use.

Second, I've used these in both the laundromats and in residential homes. Even with adding liquid softener to my clothes, these wool dryer balls do nothing to help with static. I didn't see it help with drying time either.

Third, what I DO see a difference is, when using in home, because I keep my socks in a netted bag, they do dry completely. Whereas for the industrial machines, it's still a bit damp. Though comparably, without the wool dryer balls altogether, they take MUCH longer to dry completely. My clothes feel a bit more softer with it, though that's debatable.

To each their own. I wanted to try these out to see if I could eliminate softener/dryer sheets altogether but that doesn't sound like a feasible plan... at least not in winter. The static! Disappointingly, this is not something I'd invest in again.

I am ordering my second set of these today. I have used the first set in every load of laundry for over 3 years! They are just now wearing out and I have noticed more static in my loads, but they are by no means falling apart. I can't imagine how much money I have saved over 3 years by not buying fabric softener sheets.

I’ve seen dryer balls for 3 or 4 times the price and was always curious about whether or not they worked but didn’t want to spend that much. When I saw these
at such a reasonable price I gave them a try. They really do work at softening my towels and sheets. Fabric softener slowly degrades fabric and dryer sheets aren’t great for the environment but the dryer balls achieve the same end result and also seem to speed up the drying process. I would recommend these.

I like the fact that they (6 of them used) cut down dry time by about 25%. However, there is always static unless I use a dryer sheet. I can take them out as they are just barely dry, and there is still static (without dryer sheet.) I am sure my moderate body hair contributes. These may work for hairless people!
