The AudioControl LC2i PRO joins ranks with AudioControl’s most popular active line output converter, the LC2i. Adding a sub? Planning a full system? Either way, get the best possible signal from your factory sound system to your amplifiers. Load selection switches mean OEM integration has never been easier and the LC1i and LC2i Pro will work with the most finicky factory sound systems. Installer friendly turn on trigger modes allow for flexibility via GTO Signal Sense (DC offset), audio sense, or remote 12 volt inputs. Upgrade to the LC2i PRO for AudioContol’s AccuBASS and the included ACR-1 level control.

Definitely recommend if your system is stock. This will help bring the true output your subs need. If you have an aftermarket head unit this won't be needed. I wanted to retain the oem unit at least for a while until I find an aftermarket one down the line(money). Installation wasnt too bad, found a few youtube videos that helped. Works great, and the remote bass knob hasn't had any issues. The old Skar remote bass knob took a crap so hopefully this one is better quality. These are Skar SVR series 10" in their enclosure. I'm sure a custom box would be a better upgrade, but this hits pretty hard for now.

So accubass can give you a low boost, but I don't run it at all. It's not gonna completely fix the low end in my experience it's a trade off. It'll make some hip hop songs boom, but then you'll need to adjust for others. Rock is even more variable. Bass guitars get messy with the accubass. Metal sounds okay with double kick bass. Grunge, alternative, hard-core, punk are too fast for it. Or something because holes develop and it just adds garbage to the sound. Not using accubass I love the line amp. Music sounds good in all genres, and I'm getting less distortion now. It can handle crazy inputs and vary it's rcas with crazy output power. Just have the right expectations going in. You don't want two bass knobs, it's nice to be able to use the eq in dash instead of accubass.

For years I was running a cheap active LOC in my 2014 hyundai veloster turbo, and I wanted more from my subs. I'm running two alpine type R's (swr-10d4) 1000W RMS each, wired to one ohm on a Hifonics Brutus (BRX2000.1D) 2000W RMS @ 1 ohm.

I wanted to upgrade my prefab box thinking this was my issue. I did some research and found that I have my gains set too low and after setting this to the proper level it sounded louder but still sounded distorted. It was then I understood my cheap LOC was the reason why, I was getting distortion with barely any preout voltage (had to turn my gain 'way up' to match the low preout voltage.)

I decided to bite the bullet on this LC2I. I tapped into the factory subwoofer and played a 50hz 0db test tone through my radio, set at 30/35, turned my level up on my LC2I until the maximized light came on, then backed it off a little. To set my gains on my amp, I took the square root of my 2000w amp multiplied by the one ohm to get my target voltage at the amps output terminal (44.72 V)

I then tested my voltage with a DDM at the amps outputs terminals and used the amps gain knob to achive my target voltage of 44.72. The gain was turned down substantially compared to when I was using the cheap LOC, proving the new LC2I was providing a higher preout voltage.

The quality and clarity of the subs are now night and day different. I wish i did this upgrade alot sooner. This was well worth the money spent, and if you are using a cheap LOC and looking for more out of your system this is a no brainer. Just do it.

So... if you are trying to add an amp or multiple amps to a stock radio you cannot spend money on your new set up without this! Way better than passive line out converter. Well worth the money. If you can run the power for your amp you can hook this up. Tapping into your stock speaker is easy enough. AMAZING difference in performance on my amp. It runs way cooler.
The only reason it's not 5 stars is the lack of seeing/tuning instructions - clear as mud. The Acubass is awesome but confusing and difficult to tune. Although it did scare the s**t outta me when my head was in the trunk and it kicked in. Insane on the difference it makes.

I am running a pair of Rockford Foster R2 10's with a Rockford Fosgate Prime 500.1d amp.
Loud enough for the neighbors to come outside and think it was the teenagers down the street (not the 50 year old neighbor)

Definitely recommend if your system is stock. This will help bring the true output your subs need. If you have an aftermarket head unit this won't be needed. I wanted to retain the oem unit at least for a while until I find an aftermarket one down the line(money). Installation wasnt too bad, found a few youtube videos that helped. Works great, and the remote bass knob hasn't had any issues. The old Skar remote bass knob took a crap so hopefully this one is better quality. These are Skar SVR series 10" in their enclosure. I'm sure a custom box would be a better upgrade, but this hits pretty hard for now.

Yo! Let me tell you!!! I had my doubts about this product... I had no idea it was gonna sound so amazing !!! I have a 2017 audi a4 and the hardest thing about this product was pulling up the pillars and plastic to get to the wires by the door to tap into the factory speakers for a signal for the LCI2 PRO ... after that .. all a breeze . It's all plug and play and very simple to understand with very detailed descriptions on the box.. MIND YOU ... I installed this on a stock head unit ..and I'm in love with the sound of my car now .

I love this device. When you have a newer car or truck. Some do not let you change out you factory stereo unit. So, with this device you can add amps and speakers to those stereos to get the sound people want. This is what you need. It works great.

Although these are primarily used for car audio to enable addition of amplifiers and subwoofer to a factory radio , I used this as a home receiver tool to add pre-outs to run my Center channel from a secondary amplifier.
This allowed me to run 2 Center speakers together bi-wired using a channel A+B amplifier as secondary mode. To power it, I repurposed a USB Sata adapter power supply ( for external drives) and was able to run a trigger wire from the main receiver to power it on at the same time as the main receiver.
I was very happy with the result. It widened the presence of the Center speakers (2) considerably and sounded awesome.

Easy way to derive clean bass signal from a system with no subwoofer output. In hindsight I would have ordered the audio control mini amplifier which has this built in. It would have saved space and time during install...
