How to Use Automatic Pet Feeder for Cats and Dogs Correctly?


Set the Feeder 1.Get the feeder power supplied ,then switch on. 2.Set local time first, then set and save meal times based on your pet's needs. 3.Record an up to 10 seconds vocal message for your pet. Caution: All settings must be done under working mode(LCD backlight displays blue)	Fill the Feeder Put certain amounts of wet/dry food or snack in each compartment accordingly and align food tray with rotary impeller slot before close the cover. Caution: 1.Press the top cover lock and pull the cover up to open. 2.Don't overload.	Employ the Feeder When it reaches your scheduled time, your vocal message for your pet will be played automatically to call your pet to eat. My husband gets up for work at 5am during the week so unfortunately my cat has gotten on this schedule as well, except she wakes up a little early in anticipation. Every single day, at 4:30 in the morning, she starts harassing me. It starts out sweet at first--touching my face with her paws, rubbing her face on mine. When I don't respond to that, it progresses into her walking all over me, standing on my chest and licking my hair (I'm pretty sure she knows I hate this), or she'll just get a couple inches from my face and stare at me for a really long time (it's a little creepy). The other day when I still didn't get up, she enlisted the dogs to help by walking to the foot of the bed and meowing to wake them up, and when the bigger dog starts bouncing on me, I either get up or I get injured. Now I can hold out during the week until my husband's alarm goes off and he gets up and takes care of all of them, but we all know animals don't know what day of the week it is, so this nonsense occurs on weekends as well. I always have to get up, let the dogs out and then feed them and the cat, and then go back to bed. It's annoying, to say the least. My husband and I started vacation this week but we weren't going out of town, so it was looming over me that I would have to get up every single day when the harassment started. I finally decided to get an automatic feeder for the cat, knowing the dogs would sleep later if I wasn't having to get up. I kept it downstairs, so the first few mornings I had to take her down and show it to her. Last night I decided to move it upstairs, just outside of our bedroom (the dogs are closed in via a baby gate) so that she can get out to eat but the dogs can't get out to steal her food. I woke up this morning to the sound of the feeder rotating at it's set time of 4:30, and the cat ran out and ate her breakfast, came back on the bed and went to sleep! It was glorious! The dogs let me sleep until 6:00, and I'm hoping tomorrow we can go a little later. I really wish I would've gotten this sooner, but I'm so glad to have it now!

Lifesaver - for me AND my fat cat

The product works exactly as promised! Easy to program (once you watch the video) and super easy to use daily. But more than that - it has solved a big problem with my fat cat! I adopted a 23 lb cat earlier in the year and have been trying to help him lose weight. I buy expensive high fiber wet veterinary food to fill him up, yet he still BEGS for food all the time. Every time I go to the room where I feed him, he runs and almost trips me as he races to his bowl hoping I will fill it. He wakes me up in the middle of the night begging for food. That all changed with my Casfuy cat feeder. I actually use TWO feeders and divide up his daily measured food into ten meals, equal amounts and evenly spaced in time throughout the day and night. I fill both trays with food at night before bedtime. I put one in the freezer and then put one in the Casfuy. One Casfuy is programmed to feed between 11 PM - 10 AM and the other Casfuy feeds the other half of the day. First thing in the morning I get the second tray out of the freezer to thaw and then I put it in the Casfuy at 11 AM. As a result, my cat has learned that all food comes from the Casfuy and so he doesn't beg me anymore, he doesn't run to his bowl whenever I head in that direction, and he doesn't wake me up at night. He is much more calm around food - probably because he gets it consistently. Overall he is much less food-oriented. I wonder if he was starved at one point and since then has been worried about lack of food. No matter what caused his bad food habits, the Casfuy has been the solution! I cannot say enough about it! FYI - I've used others that pop open and they are cheaply made. The Casfuy is well made and the electric plug eliminates the drain on a battery while the battery is a great backup. My First Casfuy; My 2nd Auto Pet Feeder

I knew what I was buying with this unit, even though this is my first "Casfuy" version. I did have the "TD Design" version from that company and had that unit for 2 years. The units are almost the exact same in design with some minor differences, such as color and sound of the device. My "TD Design" version eventually broke down after 2 years with the infamous "EEEE" error from the rotator engine getting stuck. "TD Design" however didn't offer a lifetime warranty for it's version. I can say though that these devices work the exact same and overall, when these devices work, they're amazing.

I have a cat that has a pelvic injury that makes it easy to get constipated. Because of that, my family had to order one of these units to feed him wet can cat food, only, a few times a day. When you work full time also, you don't have time to dish out wet food throughout the day, so this was a God send in design.

In order to use the device, you need to set in 4 meal times for when you want the dish to rotate. There are technically 5 meal slots and one of the meals, you need to fill the rotator directly. My routine is like this: feed my animal when I get home from work with the first spot and then fill in the other 4 meal spots at the same time. You then will only need to refill it in the next 24 hours. I haven't had any issues with the lack of a cooling element. The wet canned cat food seems to be fine in this unit for the 4-24 hour time periods I scheduled and doesn't spoil.

The device isn't too noisy when it rotates and the only semi noisy part is the button noises when you have to adjust settings. The "TD Design" version has more of a regular loud beep and this "Casfuy" one sounds more like robotic water droplets. I think this "Casfuy" is actually quieter on it's rotation noise than the "TD Design" version.

This device can be run on a 5v power adapter or with 2 D batteries. You don't need both but if you want it as a backup, you can put batteries in. Also, should the device lose power or be turned off manually without batteries, it still will keep the meal times and the voice message in it's internal memory. It most likely has some sort of small battery to keep those incase of emergencies. However, you will need to reset the main time each time the device goes off.

One trick that is mentioned in the instructions should you have an issues with the rotation is you can test the rotation without setting times. If you hold the "+" button while it's in unlocked state, you can force a rotation. For the "TD Design" version, it's holding the up arrow.

One last thing I noticed that was different about this version from the version I used to have is the lid. Both lids would open by pushing the circle on the front and pulling up on the lid, but this "Casfuy" lid seems to be a bit stiffer to do so. It has 2 latches for the lid to slide into on the back instead of the the one latch on the "TD Design" version. It probably makes it more secure to prevent an animal from trying to open it, but that's a bit of a hinderance from the human trying to open it too.

Overall, I recommend these auto food feeders, especially if you have an animal with special feeding needs. They are relatively easy to use and setup. I have never once had my animal able to open the lid to get to the other food compartments. The lid is very secure. Cleaning the insides is very easy as well. Hopefully this review helps prospective buyers and keeps people informed!

Cons.
Buttons are in poor location. My toy puppy stands on this feeder to eat and her to both buttons at the same time, which sets off the program initiation.

Also would be great if you can set the day of the week for each meal. This way it can be programmed for multiple days.
