Product Description

Following the events surrounding shy Pluto, two new zones within known space Have opened up. The admiral has promoted two new captains to the rank of Commodore to command These new space bases and work their sectors! The space base: command station expansion allows players to expand their games of space base to include two more players. Now six or seven Commodores can compete for the Promotion to become the admiral of the U.E.S. Fleet! Inside you will find two more player boards, two more sets of starting cubes, ship cards, and additional materials to help balance and streamline these bigger games. This is an expansion for space base. You will need a copy of the space base core Game to use this expansion. To make the 6–7 player Game that this expansion offers even better, add content from the space base saga expansion 1: the emergence of shy Pluto.

    This is mostly for storage and adding more players. It comes with extra dice (what gamers don't want more dice?) And while it isn't listed on the box, mine came with enough sleeves to cover the base game, everything in this expansion, and possibly the shy Pluto expansion too.To those complaining that the cards don't fit in the box, they do, vertically. (See attached photo)

    This is a fantastic add on is full of just nice stuff to have. Each player now gets their own set of dice eliminating the need to pass the one set of dice around. The card sleeves are nice to have makes shuffling cards a bit easier albeit slippery now. The new box is nice to have plenty of room for the expansions if you have any (I don’t, I have the base game with biodome and dreadnougt mini expansions) so all that extra room is nice to have and 2 extra players is nice to have too. All in all if you wanna make your space base game a bit nicer this is what to get, but if you want some gameplay changes go start with the expansions first then come back to this item if you still want some extra

    I know three people including myself who own this game. After buying the wrong part first I asked everyone else.

    We all bought the expansion first because it looks like the base game. It isn’t. This is the expansion. The base game is in a smaller box and costs more.

    If you have Space Base, and love it, the expansion (which this is) is fantastic! If you don’t, don’t buy this because this is only the expansion.

    Again, this is the expansion. If you buy this, you cannot play the game until you buy the base game.

    Space Base has a little bit of a learning curve, but after you get the hang of it, it provides hours and hours of fun! I introduced my parents, siblings, and wife to it and they all can't get enough. We've played everytime we go to visit my family and we play through it usually at least three times. The expansions are pretty great too, I haven't played them all, but I bought one just to increase the player amount to accomodate my family, which adds a few interesting elements but it is still awesome played the traditional way.

    I got this at the same time as The Shy Pluto expansion. It came with two extra player boards and tons of card sleeves that covered all the new cards plus the ones from the base game with sleeves to spare. The extra dice (one pair for each player) are great for larger games as players can step away for a minute or two and still come back to see what rolls they'd missed.
    The new box is big enough to replace the base game and hold The Shy Pluto content, which is good as The Shy Pluto expansion is recommended if you're going to be playing with the extra players this game provides for. You don't have to do The Shy Pluto story, but certain cards from it are wanted.
    I think I've played this game about 2 dozen times since I was first introduced to it and would recommend it for those wanting a fun game.

    This does what it says on the tin. It holds all the sleeves cards for core Space Base and Emergence of Shy Pluto, just stand the cards up vertically. Dice for every player, boards and start cards for a sixth and seventh player, and high quality thick sleeves for everything. These sleeves are a massive upgrade because they make slotting cards much smoother. Excellent product.
