Fine plant protein powder, mixes easy, slightly nutty taste, only 19g protein per 39g serving
This Renew Plant-based protein powder from Laird Superfood is an interesting plant-protein powder with about 2g of Mushroom extracts. I prefer plant protein powders, I am not keen on mlik-based protein powders. I also avoid soy protein plant powders. This protein powder contains no soy. Often-times, I take a Hemp based plant-protein, and that is the first listed Plant-Protein in this product.This plant-protein powder though, only about half of each serving is the protein. Also, there are only 12 servings per bag. The suggested serving size is a 39g, and it's 160 calories per serving. Keep in mind, no scoop is enclosed in the bag, so have a scale handy. Knowing 19g of the 39g is protein, it makes me wonder what all the other ingredients, and their amounts are. The rear of the package explains some of this, but it's not laid out in a way that explains everything. it mentions 2g of each serving are mushrooms. This powder contains Chaga, Cordyceps, Lion's Mane, and Maitake mushroom extracts. No mentions as to how much of each of them.That still leaves me in the dark a bit, as to what the other 18g in each scoop contains. Chlorella is listed as the 4th ingredient in the, 32.7g "Proprietary Protein and Organic Mushroom Blend". I am guessing the other 6.3g in each 39g serving are the, "Other Ingredients", which are Freeze-Dried Coconut Water, Coconut Sugar, and Ceylon Cinnamon.This is a good tasting product, it also works well in my shake/smoothie that contains other things.
