This bit holder works very well but shares a common flaw of every other similar tool. There is a chrome plating on the edge of the magnet that makes contact with the screw and also makes contact with the surface of the material your driving into once the screw head is countersunk. That chrome plating wears off. No big deal, you say? Actually it is. Because all of those highly magnetic, tiny flakes of destroyed chrome get pulled down inside the device and jam up it’s release. After 50-75 screws I had to soak in WD40 and take a q-tip to it to try and remove as much as possible. You drag the metal flakes to the edge of the magnet then pinch them with your fingers to pull them away. Many, many, many times. I still give it 4 stars because it has still been better than other brands. I really wish companies would use their own products and ask for feedback from people before they go into production.

What killed the Norske was that it jammed up to release the stripped Phillips (Makita XLT #2) head that I needed to swap. It claims impact ready, but upon my first experience, I’m not so sure. Also, I was driving solely with a gen 3 Milwaukee M12 Fuel impact. Maybe gen4

I bought this bit holder because I wanted a magnetic bit to replace the old style bit holder with the sleeve. When I received it I was excited because it looks like a sturdy, well constructed tool. After trying it out I couldn't get the screws to hold onto the magnet. I reread the packaging and it said to use a 1" bit which I was using. I gave up trying to use it thinking it just didn't work as expected and shelved it. Later on I came back to the Amazon page and started reading the reviews and noticed that 1 person created a video review showing how the bit didn't stay down in the tool. I didn't realize it was supposed to [facepalm].
I tried to contact the manufacturer by using their website and their online "contact us" didn't work. I then tried to email them and that bounced back. I finally called their USA Distribution phone number which actually goes to Canada. They said that their tools did not have any warranty besides the 30day amazon return policy because they just sell their tools to Amazon.

As others have stated, it gets junk in the holder part, I didnt believe them and yup it sure does get metal?? or some other particulates in the holder and then will push out the bit its trying to hold when trying to screw anything.

Doesnt seem like a deal breaker but the functionality of pushing the collar to remove the bit is then "broken". Putting force on the bit will push the collar and will cause the bit to fall out every time you try to screw into something aka put force onto the bit since there are things "stuck" and will push the release down with it which is the collar. Removing and inserting the bit +20 times will solve the problem for a couple of hours and boom, when you put the screw on the wood and try to reposition it, the stupid bit comes flying out with force and your looking for a small 1 inch t25 that fell off a 8 foot ladder with a trajectory you dont remember, no light, on a floor that has dirt/debris everywhere. This bit holder is definitely worth the money when it works but once it starts spitting the bit out or unsecuring the bit when you put force on the bit just throw it away. Half the time I just put a new bit in rather than even look for it on the floor since time is money.
