We got this specifically for an Alaskan Cruise. Needed something that was water-resistant, warm, and layered so that if it wasn't too cold we could zip off the liner, or the outer shell.

These coats are pretty warm. However if you live in super cold areas and are prone to being cold - you might want something a little beefier. This type of coat works well for me - I tend to run hot all the time and I wear this type of coat all winter with no problem, but if you regularly are in negative 20 and under temps this might not do it for you.

I think for most people this would be the ideal winter coat because you can use it almost all year round by utilizing it as parts. Spring for the outer windbreaker/water-resistant shell, fall for the liner, then bring them back together again for winter.

I had bought the previous generation of this jacket. Hands down one of the best jacket in my life, so good in fact my roommate stole it from me.
So I came back and bought this jacket hoping it would live up to the hype I had from the last one. I didn't agree with the pockets orientation on the outside of the jacket, but it was still not too shabby for a jacket, until my nephew stole it......
Maybe they can sell one that has an equipped GPS tracker?

There is still room for me to layer another sweater underneath it if I need to and still feel comfortable moving around and wearing the jacket. The multiple layers are very nice and easy to attach and detach to wear them individually. The outer IS water resistant. The fleece inner layer is soft and warm. I ride to work everyday at 3:00 am and it is usually around 34-37 degrees fahrenheit; I arrive at work toasty warm every single time. This is the best money I have ever spent on a jacket…worth every penny.

Only thing I dont care for as it was mentioned by another review, is the front zipper. It is "left handed" i guess you can say, or for women's style. Not a big deal just throws me off when i go to zip or unzip. Overall a great coat, I highly recommend! Lots of pockets too!

La chamarra viene muy bien construída, se siente de calidad, sí bien no premium pero sí buena calidad. En cuanto al tamaño viene como especifíca la talla, pedí una M, yo mido 1.80 y peso alrededor de 90-95kg, estoy algo robusto por el momento y me queda al tamaño, como para usar debajo una térmica ajustada, una playera ligera y ya. Si eres más delgado sin problema puedes ponerte más capas por debajo.
Tiene muchas bolsas de muy buen tamaño y se agradece, eso sí, las bolsas no tienen forro polar ni nada, así que son frías.
La probé hasta el momento con 10° en CDMX y sin problema te aisla del viento frío, mi plan es usarla en Quebec/Montreal con temperaturas entre -10 y -15 máximo, ya actualizaré mi review después de hacer esto. Hasta el momento creo que es muy buena relación calidad-precio, por la mitad de precio de una marca premium te llevas una muy buena prenda que además es super impermeable.
