- Use a proprietary adhesive specifically formulated for wall applications
- Will not pull paint off or damage your dry walls, even after a long period of time

How To Install
|
|
|
---|---|---|
PeelPeel and Stick Wallpaper installs and removes with ease - just peel and stick. Peel back one to two feet of the backing. |
StickThen stick to the wall or flat surface. Reposition as often as needed. Use a plastic smoother to smooth paper while continuing to pull the backing down a little at a time. Repeat steps for each additional strip. Cut and trim excess. |
SmoothTry our Smoother and Utility Knife Kit to achieve a faster and easier installation. Our utility knife ensures a clean and precise cut on the peel and stick adhesive, and the smoother helps affix peel and stick wallpaper securely and effortlessly removes air bubbles. |
Where To Apply
|
|
|
---|---|---|
Smooth Surfaces = YesRoomMates Peel and Stick Wallpaper can be applied to surfaces that are smooth, flat and free of dust and grease. |
Textured Surfaces = NoPeel & Stick Wallpaper will not adhere to unclean or heavily textured surfaces, orange peel walls, stucco paint, bricks, cinder blocks, textiles, or surfaces exposed to extreme heat or cold. Allow newly painted surfaces to fully cure for a minimum of 4 weeks before applying. |
The Tape TestHere’s a quick test to determine if your walls are clean: Apply and remove several times a piece of clear scotch tape onto the surface. If you notice dirt or residue on the tape, it means that you need to clean your walls. |
Peel and Stick Wallpaper Installation Tips
|
|
|
---|---|---|
For an easier install, hang peel and stick wallpaper with two people, one person to help guide and ensure each strip is straight and one to smooth the paper to the wall. |
When hanging wallpaper strips side by side, slightly overlap seams to avoid seam lines. |
To prevent bubbling during install, peel off paper’s backing and smooth to the surface one to two feet at a time. |

Like others in the comment said, do not stretch this! It will warp the grid and make it difficult to line up, but if you make a mistake, you can easily peel it off and adjust. At least with my wall, it didn't take any paint off when I did. And it stuck just as well the second pass.
I would buy this again! Very pleased!

I will say that we had a difficult time applying it, but I think it had more to do with my wall than the wallpaper. It did not want to stick, which is odd because it has stuck to everything else I have put it on so far. I think that the texture of my walls was not ideal. We used some spray adhesive to help it stick, so ours is a little more permanent. I think if we had not used the spray adhesive/didn't have textured walls, it would be very easy to one day peel off the old and put up some new in its place.
We also found lining up the patterns to be a bit of a chore, but I think that was because I made a mistake in the beginning that came back to haunt us for the entirety of the project - I put up one of the panels we had pre cut out of order. I wound up being about a foot short of finishing and had to order another roll, but that was my fault!
Overall, this stuff is amazing and the problems I had with it were my fault, not the wallpapers! I am thrilled at how easy it is to clean and how much character it gave his bathroom. It has been up almost a year and looks good as new. I have some leftover and plan to put it on his bookshelf one day when I get around to that project! You could cover almost anything with this stuff, and I have a lot of projects I would like to use it for.... one day when I have time lol.

I read up on using self adhesive wallpaper and here is what I gathered.
1. Wash your walls first. I got a sponge and light soap and water and washed the whole wall. Then I went back over with a wet wash cloth to make sure I got all the soap off.
2. Let it dry. I let it dry a couple hours. I had my windows open so I don’t think it needed that long but I wanted to make sure.
3. I bought a $6 kit off Amazon that had an exactly knife, and some plastic tools for helping get all the wallpaper down. So worth it. I wasn’t running around trying to find different items. However an old credit card and an exacto knife would probably work. I also used a level and a blow dryer.
Once is did all that I started on the left side of the wall and just started pasting the paper up. The design I had has a very light grid that is part of the design. I started by leveling the grid so I had a pretty straight design as I went.
When I got to the next sheet to go on the wall I made sure to line up the design first so I actually didn’t use about 6 inches of the roll at the top because I didn’t line up but it was fine. I went gradually, lining up part of the design and adhering it to the wall. Pulling more of the back off, lining up the design, adhering it to the wall and so on. The paper is slightly stretchy so you can kind of manipulate it to do what you want.
Some parts I had stretched out the paper too much, by using a blow dryer the heat helps it go back to its original shape.
It takes time to get it right. I definitely peeled some sections back off and redid them so that they would match up to the design better. My wall definitely isn’t perfect but with this design it was easy to hide the mistakes. Another tip, don’t let the adhesive side stick to another adhesive side, I couldn’t get them back apart.
Overall I’m very happy with how it turned out. It’s been over 2 weeks since I put it up and I haven’t had a problem. It was fairly easy to install and I didn’t have anyone helping. I want to do this to another room and I want to use this brand again.

One thing to note - don't use on newly painted walls! We almost missed that instruction. Also prep the walls as described (I believe we wiped them down with rubbing alcohol beforehand.)
It's been a few months since we installed and his bedroom has had a humidifier running all night multiple times and there is no sign of peeling. It looks really nice.
