It works great when it works, however it just does not last long, very disappointed.
I have been using the Nuwave Brio 8-Qt Air Fryer for a while now, and I must admit, it has its highs and lows.Firstly, the positives. It cooks exceptionally well, transforming raw ingredients into delicious meals with ease. The unit works efficiently to deliver evenly cooked food every time. The temperature controls ranging from 50°-400°F provide flexibility for various dishes. I've been impressed by how it simplifies the cooking process, making meal preparation a breeze.The easy-to-read cool white display is user-friendly and makes it a cinch to navigate through the settings. Plus, with its large capacity, it's perfect for preparing large meals or entertaining guests. Moreover, cleaning the unit after use is a straightforward task, which is a major win in my book.However, there are a few downsides. I experienced issues with the longevity of the product. The first unit I received worked fine for about a year before it abruptly stopped working. Thankfully, the company acknowledged this as a known issue and promptly sent me a replacement unit, the upgraded Duo model.Unfortunately, history repeated itself. This replacement unit also failed after just over a year of use due to an electrical failure, displaying an error code of (C8) during the saute mode.Secondly, the quality of the grilling rack is disappointing. Despite gentle cleaning, the non-stick coating started peeling off within a few months. The possibility of this coating mixing with food raises health concerns, so I avoid using it altogether.After calling customer support about the (C8) error code, this time around, the company declined to replace the unit even though this is another "known" issue with these units. They did offer a 30% discount on a new purchase, but I'm hesitant to invest in the same brand again, given my previous experiences.The Air Fryer performs brilliantly when it works, but the durability issues are a major drawback. Therefore, I am giving this product a 3-star rating. While it has been great for my cooking needs, I believe that a product of this price range should definitely last more than 12 months!

When choosing an air fryer I wanted something that could cook steaks. This thing can and it does a really good job at it.
It does a good job at everything, it is super versatile. Workhorse I use everyday for past year. Highly recommend.

I thought this would be a great product based on review. However it is junk, UNSAFE, UNHEALTHY. The main tray material has peeled off after only two months. DO NOT BUY. When i contated NuWave they told me "peeling is not covered by the warranty". The way they stated it made me feel this is a known problem. The bad- i have not found the pieces, meaning it ended up in the food we ate. We clean it after we eat. Wonderful....AVOID this product. Over-rated. I just bought another Ninja, my first fryer and it has never peeled and still works. So, two smaller Ninjas are better than one large Brio NuWave.

i am not new to airfrying, nor am i an expert. I have a ninja 4qt that we love. I bought this airfryer to move up in size. here are the issues:
1. first, Amazon shipped in its store packaging with no tape at all- box was beat to crap and the top looks like it was opened at every step of the shipping process
2. the bottom metal grate that is removable is really weak, and bad quality. i dont see this lasting very long. you should get 2-3 of these, or just one that is higher quality (hint)
3. Cleaning: horrible, i decided to soak the the metal grate in the pull out fry section as i do with the ninja. put about 3/4 inch of water in it and walked away. i came back 3 hours later and it has leaked all over the counter and the cabinets. They have two screws in the back to steady the pull out section that are not sealed well and so it is going to leak- crap design
4. ergonomics: AWLFUL: the power switch is positioned on the panel where the start button should be. i have turned this thing off a dozen times now thinking i am hitting start- there are some serious layout issues with the control panel. i hate this thing
5. the pull out try is nice, BUT, it is not functional. the first time i used it it dropped on my feet and put the food all over the floor- maybe i have a defective unit?? I have been vigilant to make sure it is connected and hold a pot holder under it when i pull it out- CAUTION!!!
6. related to the pull out tray. there is nothing to keep the back of the outer bucket aligned to the inner bucket. i cant slide it in one handed. The handle naturally keeps the inner basket level, but the outer bucket SAGS and you cant slide it in without using both hands and a pot holder.
I would never buy again. i have no idea how they got high ratings. It COULD BE good, but several of these issues need to be re-engineered.
BUY ANYTHING BUT THIS UNIT

\When we got the NuWave, my wife got super excited to the point that she took over cooking (for now) LOL
She made chicken wings and fries. The chicken wings came right from the freezer (not even thawed). She just added salt and pepper as soon as it came out. Crispy and tasted great - can't complain.
