Maggie Moves On Kindle Edition

Can these opposites turn up the heat... without burning down the house?

House-flipping sensation and YouTube star Maggie Nichols can't wait to dig into her next challenge. Arriving in tiny Kinship, Idaho, with only a cot and a coffeemaker, Maggie is prepared to restore a crumbling Victorian mansion in four months or less. She has her to-do lists, her blueprints, and her team. What she
doesn't have is time for sexy, laid-back landscaper Silas Wright.

The man takes flirtation to a whole new level. And he does it shirtless...sometimes pants-less. He and his service school-dropout dog are impressively persistent. But she's not interested in putting down roots. Not when fans tune in to watch her travel the country turning dilapidated houses into dream homes. A short-term fling on the other hand could fit nicely into her calendar. After all, Maggie remembers what fun is like. Vaguely.

As their summer gets downright steamy, Silas manages to demolish the emotional walls she's spent years building, sending Maggie into a panic. He's the wrench in her carefully constructed plans. With the end of the project looming, she has a decision to make. But how can she stay when her entire career is built on moving on?

Small Town Charm!

Small Town Charm!
Silas & MaggieI'm a huge fan of all things home renovation and was excited when I realized Maggie, our FMC has her own Youtube show flipping houses. Was this book swoon worthy and had your heart in a pitter patter? For me? No. I wasn't dying to fall in love with Silas, our MMC, but I still enjoyed the book. Being true to a small town story, there are a ton of side characters, all of whom I loved.“At the end of the day, your quality of life is determined by the people you surround yourself with.”MaggieMaggie's character and story unfolds literally the ENTIRE book. From beginning to end, you're still figuring out who she is and what her past entails. You put little pieces together here and there, almost in the same way she's putting together a house. She removes pieces and uncovers its history, so maybe Lucy Score was doing the same thing for us in the form of Maggie.SilasSilas is your typical small-town hot guy who works with his hands. He's sexy and everyone wants him. His dog, Kevin, made him even more likable. Silas is adorable though and is a complete open book. He doesn't like uncovering all things Maggie and wants to keep her for himself. He spends the book trying to convince her to stay put for once in her life, but wants her to choose him.WallaceWallace was my favorite character. He reminds me of the old man on Up. He's grumpy and straight forward, but also doesn't have time for your shenanigans. There's something charming about him though and his passion for The Old Campbell Place. I would LOVE to read his personal story.“Magpie, when you deal with everything on your own, you’re robbing the people who care about you of their chance to be there for you, with you.”Overall, it was a cute book. This history of the house and the town's backstory intrigued me the most. It tapped into the my detective side and I was dying to know the answers. I didn't find too much chemistry between Maggie and Silas, but by the end I did think their love was cute. I wasn't rooting for them to get together the entire book though. If they went their separate ways or stayed together, I would've felt the same. I really mainly focused on this dang house! I wish I could have an entire book on the house and the history of the Campbells or even Wallace's backstory. It did take me longer than normal to finish this particular book. I wasn't dying to read it every chance I got, but I also couldn't walk away from it.TROPES:- Small Town Romance- Opposites Attract- Soulmates- "Magnolia" Fixer Upper vibes

Simply incredible. Maggie Moves On is a new favorite! 6 stars! The characters, the attention to detail, the build, the house, and even the dog. There were so many amazing moments filled with so much feeling. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and completely fell in love with Maggie and Silas. This story was perfection.

Maggie and Silas were truly the best. I instantly loved Silas and his flirty ways, he was so charming and sweet right from the start. This man made me melt! I loved Maggie and her in charge attitude and all she’d accomplished and overcome. I understood what she wanted and the conflict it created since Silas was in hot pursuit. They had undeniable chemistry with a playful banter that was sexy and fun. There was an excellent balance between the humor and heat (oh my with the heat!!!). I loved them opening up, learning their history, and being vulnerable. There were so many wonderful scenes between these two that had me laughing and others that were full of so much emotion. It was a very well-rounded story from beginning to end.

I think I loved the secondary characters just as much as I loved Maggie and Silas. I wish I could mention every one of them and just how important and meaningful they were. I loved how their stories and history mixed in with the overall storyline and the wit and cleverness they brought. I loved the family Silas and Maggie formed with them, the friends they find and bring into the fold, right down to the animals, it was everything. I really enjoyed Silas’s family as well and all the different dynamics that were taking place. There were so many moments that filled me up and made my heart happy. Besides the romance, there's a beautiful story about the house itself and the original owners that added a layer of mystery to it all. I loved all the hints and clues and the dots connecting along the way, giving the story an extra special layer that made it even more fulfilling.

I make no secret of the fact that Lucy Score is one of my favorite authors. I feel like she weaves magic into her stories, bringing them to life, making my world just a little brighter. That 100% happened with this book. It was an incredibly well-developed and detailed story with a phenomenal build and I had a really hard time putting my Kindle down and getting anything done. I couldn’t wait to find out what would happen next.

Maggie Moves On was extremely entertaining with laugh-out-loud moments but it was also filled with so much emotion and heart and healing… plus a touch of adventure! Fantastic read! 6 stars!

Let me start by saying I'm a huge fan of Lucy Score! If she writes it, I will read it. I hope this review will convince you to read Maggie Moves On and Lucy's other fabulous books. Maggie Moves On is a fantastic story that flips the grumpy/sunshine script. In this book, Maggie, a renovation expert whose star is on the rise due to her YouTube show, is the grump though she'd call herself a realist. Silas, a local landscaper hired to work on Maggie's latest reno, is the sunshiny one. He's convinced from the first moment he sees Maggie that she's The One. Maggie isn't convinced and the book is one long seduction through renovation and relationship angst. The push and pull of will she stay or will she go is excellent. Why? Lucy understands people are complex and relationships are complicated. The characters she creates reflect that emotion and complexity. They are at turns funny, frustrating, loving, stubborn and more. She also creates communities where you will want to live so you can be friends with people like Maggie, Silas, Dean, Cody and maybe have a dog like Kevin. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did!

Some parts I wildly loved, and some parts were just... too much. The fairy tale elements went a little over the top sometimes. Kevin is hilariously the best part of the book.

I am a huge Lucy Score fan. However, this book is just OK. A lot of description on the house, renovations and not many of the fun quirky characters that she usually has in her other books. Just ok.
