I have the bigger Revlon Dryer Brush 2.0 and that dries my long thick wavy hair, but since I have it cut in layers to tame it, I needed the smaller 1" barrel of this styling brush to finish off the top layers. You have to be careful with this, it's fragile feeling and not made to dry thick long hair. I think this would work well with short and medium lengths, and just go slow and careful with it, and don't try to dry soaking wet hair with it.Even tho I have wavy hair that loves to curl, I thought this 1" barrel would add curl but I'm a little disappointed. It definitely adds LIFT, which I needed on top, when you apply the brush to the roots and dry there. And the barrels get hot enough to curl the hair, so I thought I could hold a curl in place for a moment, but I noticed that if I hold the barrel long enough to get what I would get from a curling iron, like maybe 3-4 seconds, I'm really just over-drying my poor hair. And if I use it as a curl-inducer with wet hair, I have to be really careful not to pull too hard on this brush because it does seem a bit fragile. (I've read the complaints here about the barrels breaking off and I can see that happening if not using this tool carefully.)BTW, I did just get this travel case as I searched Amazon for this Revlon dryer, and it holds the bigger Revlon 2.0 Brush PLUS this Styling Brush plus the two barrel attachments. Plus clips and comb in a top compartment. Finally can take brushes when traveling and not smash them. Thought I'd pass along this great find! (You'll probably see this case come up when you search Revlon hair drying products.)

I was looking for a bread straightener and most of the other products had ok reviews. I found this when it was on sale and wondered if it would work for my beard. The price was right and it was on sale, so I decided to gave it a try. I have to say that it works great for straightening my beard. I just use the blower attachment with a comb to do so. I tried the other attachments but it was awkward to deal with but I'm sure those would work as well. For the price it works great!

I bought this hot air styling brush kit to replace a similar one that broke after many years of use (I dropped it on a tile floor one too many times). So far, it's been as good for styling my short, fine hair, that has a slight wave in it which tends to flip the wrong way unless I style it - which annoys me, as my old one did. I hope it lasts me as long too. I had my old one just over 10 years! The old one still turned on, even after drop #4, but the handle where it met the electrical cord was too just broken to make it safe to use anymore. No amount of duct tape around it would convince me otherwise.

I don't actually bother styling my hair most days, since I work from home, but when I want my hair to have more style, I use this, with a light, natural styling gel, and been happy 90% of the time with the results. The only times I haven't been happy is when I'm in a humid area. Humidity makes my hair go nuts; either it loses all the style I spent time putting in by drooping and going flat, or it gets super wavy, curly, and/or frizzy, which drives me crazy too (I hate having my hair in my face), so I end up using a hair tie and clips to hold it back from my face, and/or I wear a hat. I don't use fixative type hair products due to the toxicity of most of them. I have asthma, very sensitive skin and a sensitive scalp. I breakout from most styling products. Also, most fragrances in most products and sprays, tend to trigger my allergies and/or asthma. Using just this brush and the natural styling gel are really my only options, and work fine, mostly. I deal with it if they don't. They work well together when I'm home in Colorado, most of the time. Humidity here does the same thing as it does anywhere else to my hair though, but it's rarely very humid here.

I want to warn everyone, as with all styling brushes and blow dryers, the Revlon Hot Air Brush does get HOT while using it. Not so much the handle where you hold it most of the time, but all the metal parts do, and so does the handle near the styling attachments area. So, please be careful when changing out the attachments, cleaning the brushes, putting it away, or packing it after use. Some parts retain heat for a while. Give them time to cool down, 5-10 minutes, or use something to protect your fingers/hands if you need to change attachments while using it.

I also just can't stress these next things enough:

1. DO NOT use it near a sink or bathtub with water in it. If you accidentally drop it into water while it's plugged into a wall outlet, you could electrocute yourself, and/or start a fire. It'll be ruined too. Water and most motorized things do not go well together. it's not a waterproof item.

2. ALWAYS, when you finish using it, unplug it and leave it on a counter, far away from curious little ones if they are of concern, or hang it up, to allow it to cool off, before you put it away or pack it in a suitcase! The risks of burning someone or something, and/or starting a fire, are real. I scorched a t-shirt slightly, when I went to pack it in my suitcase, before giving it enough time to cool off first. I had wrapped the t-shirt around the handle part, to cushion it in my suitcase. When I unpacked it at home to put it away, I found the scorch mark on the shirt. Lesson learned. Luckily, it wasn't one of my new t-shirts I ruined.

3. DO NOT leave it plugged into a wall outlet, even if it's not turned on or hot, and forget about it. Power spikes can damage it, and cause an electrical fire if it sparks. Also, you don't want anything else happening either, such as a young child getting ahold of it.

So, yes, I recommend you try the Revlon Hot Air Brush Kit. If you don't like it, return it before the 30 days return period. Just be smart about using it and storing it. If it lasts me 5-10 years, I'll be happy.

I have very thick, wavy hair. I’ve also had my fair share of hair dryers over the years, as well as a vast experience of professional blowouts.

In my early teenage years my hair became uncontrollable, so my mom sent me to the salon for a weekly blowout. I got tired those blowouts, so my mom got me a professional blower and brushes, and I learned to fix my hair just as good as the salon lady; heck, even my sisters and cousins would ask me to do theirs all the time.

Later on, for work, I resumed the weekly salon visits for years, but always owned high end hairdryers and full sets of brushes, for the times I needed to do my own.

Fast forward a few more years, and I started doing sports every day, so the salon visits became unsustainable, which left me with no saner choice than leaving my hair to air dry. I didn’t look bad, but I didn’t look like “myself” anymore.

Around last November, my Mom gave me her Revlon (this product). She got it as a gift, but never really used it. It felt so light, compared to the previous blow driers I’ve had, that I dismissed it for weeks thinking it was crap, until one day I decided to try it. Man, THIS was a gift from the angels!!! My hair is very long, and I could give away half of my hair and still have lots of it. I could do my hair in record time, no sore arms, beautiful curled ends, and so shiny and breezy! My daughter had bought another tool similar to this, and I told her she had to try mine; boy, she loved it to: she did her hair faster, with no cord tangles, and her brush weighed about twice as this Revlon, so I promised to get her one for Christmas. She just returned the cement one she had previously bought :)

Then, my SIL was wanting a flat iron for Christmas. So I got her the flat iron AND the Revlon! This tool is just too good to not share about it.

For reference, I’ve owned top of the line BabyBliss, Turbo Pro and Bio Ionic throughout the years; I’ve also used the Dyson. These are all great, but I love my 15 bucks Revlon better!

I use a hot air brush curler that has hard bristles but when I saw the low price on this I thought I would get it as a back up. However, the soft brushes don't grab the hair easily and don't give enough curl. I found the size of the handle is too large and heavy to be easily maneuverable. The high setting is way too hot on the scalp so it's unusable. BUT, I decided to keep it to use as a hair dryer with the included attachment.

love this so much! and the different sizes barrels are perfect also for a smaller curl if you please. it does get hot but it definitely works fast. once
you find your grove with it, super easy and leaves your hair nice and soft.

I had one of these before, and after 10 years it finally bit the dust. This works well at drying my hair quickly, and I get a little bit of a flip at the ends using the brushes. All in all a quality tool for an inexpensive price.

Es verdad que éste producto lo adquirí en especial y por ende el envío fue tardado pero valió la espera, cumple las expectativas, es cierto que no es tan bueno como el revlon original (el que no es desmontable) pero cumple a la perfección con su función, es cuestión de práctica y paciencia y sobre todo aplicar los productos correctos en el cabello para evitar que se maltrate con facilidad, en mi caso primero seco mi cabello con secadora convencional y ya procedo a estilizarlo con este producto, mi cabello es mediano y funciona perfecto
