A Battle of Blood and Stone (Chronicles of the Stone Veil Book 4) Kindle Edition
With every piece that falls into place for the queen of the Underworld, Kymaris gains strength and power that will make it more difficult to defeat her when the time comes. It feels as if we’re in a desperate race to get just one step ahead of her, but my demise feels closer than it ever has before with still so much to do.
The first order of business is to unlock the angelic powers with which I was gifted at birth, and Carrick insists on getting help from my archnemesis to do so. Yes, I have to save the world, but my priority has now become rescuing my sister from the Underworld. While there are many questions still to be answered about my long-lost twin, I know I will not win this battle without her by my side.
In the midst of all the doom and gloom, Carrick has become my beacon of shining light. Our connection unimaginable, my heart recognizes his as the other half of its whole. Inexplicable and deeper than one could ever imagine, the love I hold for him is forged by destiny, however ill-fated it may turn out to be.
And those are the feelings I must hold close…to keep me going. Because a painful lesson is on the horizon—betrayal never comes from your enemies.
A Battle of Blood and Stone is book four of the Chronicles of the Stone Veil series and is best enjoyed if read in series order.

Told in dual POV, A Battle of Blood and Stone is another heart-stopping installment to this series. The characters are complex and the plot continues to build with multiple twists and turns! This series must be read in order as every single installment connects the character relationships and how they fit together. The passion between Finley and Carrick is non-stop and their relationship continues to transform as they wage war against the evil forces around them.
Overall, A Battle of Blood and Stone is another epic addition to this unstoppable series. I am completely in love with Carrick and Finley and I am dying to find out how this story will end. Let's hope we don't have to wait too long for the final installment to hit our kindles!

As has been the usual case in this series, the end of this book left Finley in a precarious situation. This time, I can’t put the blame on her. She’s been known to make stupid and childish decisions, not here though. Her situation has to do with the betrayal I spoke of earlier.
One of the things I’m struggling with in this story is the chemistry between Finley and Carrick. It’s not consistent for me. Sometimes I feel their connection, their centuries of finding each other over and over again. Other times I feel more like they’re really, really good friends. Being a HUGE fan of this author, and finding her to almost always be right on the nose with the chemistry between her characters, it’s really throwing me for a loop. I’m trying to remember to look at this tale as a paranormal fantasy first and foremost, and a romance secondarily. The more important story is the quest Finley and her companions are on to save the world for humans.
When it comes to Carrick and his brothers and the things they have been through, I’m really hoping the author has another couple of series in mind so they can find their own destinies. And when we’re talking the world building and the actual story of Finley and her sister, I’m loving it all. I’m fully invested in the journey of this ragtag group of humans and immortals.
Holy cow. Where to begin.
As with the other books, this one picks up immediately after Book 3 of the “ Chronicles of the Stone Veil” series. As the Prophecy gets closer and closer, Finley and her mismatched team of heroes are doing everything they can think of to help them win the war that is inevitably coming. Allies are being formed from unlikely places, while loyalties that were assumed, take a shockingly dark turn. Losses are already being felt for Carrick & Finley, but they must stay focused and strong to reach the end game.
The race is on for Finley to get ready for battling a force so strong, it could end mankind and the Earth Realm. With Carrick and her friends by her side, Finley knows that she’ll do whatever it takes to save the ones she loves. And once again, the cliffhanger at the end of this book has me clutching my kindle desperate for the story to continue on!!
This series has been an absolute blast to read. The details about the “other worlds,” and “other creatures,” are just fascinating and highly entertaining. It really has it all, and I cannot WAIT to see how this concludes!! ❤️

Can't believe Pyke has betrayed them and can't believe Finley is in Kymaris' domaine.
Desperately waiting for the next installment now after being left with such a cliffhanger. 🤔🤔🤔
