This chair mat is specifically designed for low and standard pile carpets (up to 3/8” thick, including padding). For higher usage and carpet piles up to 1/2" we recommend our polycarbonate chair mats. For use on hard floors, you will require a chair mat with a smooth back.

  • Please note: Production tolerances +/-5%. Measurements rounded to nearest inch.

Suitable for low and standard pile carpets (up to 3/8").

The studded/gripper side of the chair mat is designed to be placed onto the carpet so that it holds the mat in place without damaging your carpet and underlay. Please note: the degree of "stay-put" will vary depending on the weave structure of your carpet.

Once unrolled, please allow up to 72 hours for the enhanced polymer chair mat to revert to its flat state.

Can be cut but don't trim
Just got this so jury is out on sturdiness and durability. People asked about cutting/trimming. I cut a chair lip on this since my roll-top has a odd size opening. After I measured twice or thrice, I marked the sheet with a sharpie. Made a narrow slit between two support boards. Started the cut with my hand held hack saw to avoid chipping of the edge. Cut about 2 inches along line then use my saber saw at high speed with the finest teeth to cut along the lines. Use a narrow slot between boards to minimize variation of the sheet but wide enough that the blade won't hit the wood and kick back on you. I don't recommend a reciprocating saw and I don't think trimming an inch or less is a good idea. Hopefully the mat will last a long time.

We needed a mat for the carpeting in a spare room so as to set it up for a work space and computer area. This mat fit the bill perfectly. this arrived in a long box with the mat rolled inside. I was worried it would be curled on the ends, however it laid perfectly flat. Our desk was 60 inches wide and we ordered the 51 inch mat to accommadate the legs on the table. It's exactly what we needed. it doesn't move at all, because It has some really good ( what I would call) teeth on the bottom side. Our carpet was a medium height and the mat for low or standard is what we chose. The chair runs really smoothly on this, and I'm not tripping over the edge of it as I walk to the desk either. So far it works great but we've only had it a week. I forgot to mention it's very clear as well. I say order this one!

I really like this mat size (30" X 48") which sets in front of my sewing machine table. I have a chair with wheels, and it rolls nicely on this mat. My carpeting is a medium pile, and you can tell from the first photo that the mat has moved a little (up the table legs a bit) - this is due to the rolling chair moving it around, I think. But it's nothing unmanageable. I wasn't able to find this mat size at any local office supply retailers, so I was glad to find it from Marvelux. I'm happy with it, overall.
