Neat concept, poor execution
Bought these after doing research on NRR rated earbuds for working in loud environments and from day one I wasn’t impressed, especially for the price. The Amazon review rating is clearly deceptive here.Do they they technically work as advertised and give you hearing protection with the ability to talk on the phone or listen to music in loud environments? Yes, and that’s the ONLY good thing I have to say about them, and why they got two stars.They’re uncomfortable/annoying to wear if you have anything else near/around your neck such as a radio mic, pen clipped to your shirt collar, etc, the sound quality is ABYSMAL, probably the worst I’ve had out of headphones since the 1990s and those were with a Walkman. My $20 Amazon special earbuds for the gym sound 100x better than these.After a year or so of regular but not daily use, they started falling apart and have now gotten to the point they’re probably going to break any day now, and I just ordered some AXIL headphones to replace these.Last but definitely not least:The dang beeping noise, anytime you do ANYTHING on your phone, whether answering a text, searching the web to look up parts etc, these make the most annoying and obnoxious beep sound that corresponds with screen activity. Never found a way to turn it off or get rid of it, but it’ll drive you nuts.For an $80 pair of headphones these are hot garbage and a complete waste of money, hopefully this review helps out anyone else considering them. Nope not sponsored by AXIL but figured I’d give something else a try.Cheers!
