The price was fantastic. I also have other Ryobi products that I have had great luck with. The best feature of this saw is the knurled hold down clamp. This is so superior to any other saw clamps I am familiar with, including my DeWalt. (See photo).

I have a miter saw, a standard version that simply chops. For our son-in-law's birthday we got the sliding compound saw and I realized as I walked him through its use, that I wish I had one too. It is super accurate at angle cuts, particularly 45 degree cuts. When I tighten my chopper, the indicator moves a little off-side, forcing you to start tightening a little to the left of the notch. But with this saw, it's very positive and locks right on the money. i also like the sliding feature although it can also be used as a chop saw. It's very well built and solid. Highly recommended.
