Customers like the portability of the dehumidifier. They say it has wheels so it is simple to move around, and the power cord was sized well. The unit is light enough to pick up and put on a counter to allow the gravity drain. The wheels are very convenient for moving it around, but it may not be the best rolling on carpet. There is no refrigerant, and no moving parts other than the fan, and this tool helps the AC and lighten its load.

Absolutely necessary if you live in an area with high humidity
We learned about the concept of a dehumidifier rather late and are blown away with what a difference it has made inside the house as we go through the Texas summer. The A/C system already has an embedded dehumidifier, but it can only do so much, and this tool helps the A/C and lighten its load. It fills the bucket in one day and brings the house from a 65%average to a 50% in one day. It makes a sound and stops working once the bucket is full. It can also work continuously with a hose directed to a sink or washer outlet, but we use the bucket system. We set it at auto to keep it at %50 and it works when needed. It is not too loud when it is on and one can still watch TV or have a conversation nearby. While sleeping, it provides great white noise! We use a water leak detector nearby just in case. The customer service is top notch and has answered our questions promptly within 24 hours. We have been using it for more than a year now and can’t be happier! Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well, no compressor to fail
Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2020
I replaced a compressor type dehumidifier and the Airplus Peltier type is much quieter. It seems to remove more water from the air in my garage than the old compressor did even when new, although comparisons two years apart is hardly an accurate test. My problem with compressors is that they seem to work for about a month beyond their warranty, then lose enough refrigerant that they start freezing up at the bottom of the coils, and don't defrost or cut off like they should, so you get a big block of ice at the bottom with no air going through, and efficiency is pretty much nil. This has happened to me with three different dehumidifiers from two different manufacturers, so I'm done with that technology. I'm hoping Peltier technology units will avoid these problems, and even though Peltier is theoretically not as efficient as compressors, I like the fact that there is no refrigerant, and no moving parts other than the fan. And if (when) the compressor type starts losing refrigerant, there goes your efficiency advantage as well. So we'll see. I signed up for the two year warranty, and I'll leave myself a note to report back at that time. But for right now, it works, it's quiet, and I better figure out how to hook up the hose because it is collecting a lot of water, and I don't want to be emptying the bucket all the time. Oh, it dropped the RH in my 1,000 square foot garage 10% in two hours when I first plugged it in, so I'm happy.
Update 8/27/2022 Still going strong, one of the pixels on the display failed, but that's it. I'm still very happy with it, it has been running pretty much continuously for two years without a hiccup. Of course, now that the warranty is up, we shall see...🤞😉
