I got this bed for my 60-lb greyhound in hopes that the orthopedic foam would encourage her to stop sleeping in my bed at night as she sleeps against me, causing my spine to be misaligned. She also has sleep startle, so it was time to create a strategy to get her out of my bed at night.
I got the XL because I don’t have the space in my room for the XXL, but it does the job for her size. She’s a petite, 5-year old girl, so shorter than average greyhound height (she’s often mistaken for a whippet).
She loves to lay her head on the bolsters when resting . She’ll also run to the bed when she hears a loud, scary noise outside (we live in a city).
We’re still working on retraining her to sleep in her bed through the night. But I can tell she’s been getting a good sleep whenever she does sleep in it (she’s presently barking in her dreams as I type this review, ha!). When she gets in the bed I give her a treat to reinforce the behavior. And she’s usually good at the start of the night, but at some point during the night she typically will still get in my bed. Hopefully over time she’ll begin to prefer her bed to mine.
Overall it’s well-made and comfortable (I got in it with her to test out the foam and to convince her to stay in it for several hours. See photo with animal print clothing to see how roomy it is with both of us in it). The microfleece is nice. She likes to nest a bit before laying down and so far the cover has held up. And I like that it has a waterproof liner. The bed’s opening is pretty wide, which allows her to hang out of the bed in true greyhound fashion. It’s much easier to put together than her old donut bed. This was highly recommended on numerous greyhound website articles, and I can see why! Definitely great joint support for retired racers. While it is quite an investment, I do recommend this bed! I hope to keep it for years to come, especially since cover replacements are available.
P.S. I also recommend getting the PetFusion cooling blanket. It actually stays cool for the most part! She sleeps hot, and has slept through the night under the cooling blanket. Very impressive!

Big and Comfy
I love this dog bed! It is so big and comfy. The recommended size for my dog (large and she’s 45lbs) is perfect. I almost went up a size but she likes to curl up when she lays down so I didn’t. This is big enough for her to stretch out but the bolster around the edge gives her a place to curl up against. I did have to put a one of her dog blankets in it to get her to start using it but that worked. She usually laid in my bed but hurt her back jumping down (it’s 2’ off the floor) so I got her this comfy dog bed! The directions for assembly were wonderful as the bed arrives unassembled in a sturdy box. The memory foam pad comes compressed but it didn’t take long at all for the bed to reach normal size and I didn’t notice any odor from it! It is nice and thick and the foam seems super dense. The cover must have high thread count because it feels very hefty! The dark brown is very nice but does make it hard to see my black dog on it. The price was a bit steep for me but this bed seems like it will last her a long time which makes it worth it!

Let me tell you, I wish I had purchased this bed sooner. It would have saved me a $500 vet bill and pain for my beloved pet. Setting it up was a breeze, although it did require an extra pair of hands as the bed is quite large. The big zipper part is for the pillow that is already in the top, while the smaller zipper around the non-slip bottom is where you install the large mattress. Be careful to put it in the correct way, and give it a couple of days to fully expand.
The bed's soft canvas exterior on the pillow side feels very strong and well-made, and the color is just beautiful. But most importantly, my dog got right in without any hesitation, and now he has a safe and comfortable bed to lay in. No more tripping over Coolaroo legs or worrying about him getting hurt while he sleeps.
Overall, I'm extremely happy with my purchase and highly recommend the Pet Fusion dog bed to anyone with a large pup. Don't make the same mistake I did - invest in a quality bed that will keep your furry friend safe and comfortable.
After being shown the bed a few times, later in the evening Faolán went and got his new Elk Horn bone and hopped right into the bed and started happily chewing away. My STAR pup (8 yrs old). I am beyond pleased with this purchase and laughed so hard. Check out the pics! lol, AAA++++

As a proud owner of a 116-pound Alaskan Malamute standing close to 5'10" on hind legs, finding a bed big enough for my furry friend has always been a challenge. I used to have a smaller size Coolaroo for him to lay in, but unfortunately, after years of use, it ended up injuring his neck (my room is too small to have the larger coolaroo that he requires and does have access to outdoors).
