1. The touch controls seemed inconsistent at first but now work fine
2. Uses a different Bose iPhone app than the QCs
3. Can only connect to one source at a time, unlike QCs.
So they may not 100% replace my QCs, but I didn’t intend for them to when I purchased them. They’re just so good I kind of wish they would. They probably will more often than not. 5 stars.
That’s where these Bose earbuds come in. She said she wanted noise canceling and comfortable. So we make a run to Best Buy, and we settled on these after some research. From that night on she got some good sleep without hearing me snoring(sawing logs). I tested them out so I could give an accurate review of them.
Pros: great sound, bass, noise canceling, etc. all around great ear buds and are comfortable.. but here is where the cons come into play..
Cons: these are not good for side sleepers. I found in my study that if you are sleeping on your left or right side, take the earbud out and leave the other one in. It’s complicated to explain but it does work for naps and even all night if you don’t toss and turn.
But overall, I still think they are a bit expensive but they work well for many uses. Just not working out.
If you need something for sensitive hearing this are it!
The do like to be a pain to pair sometimes. (Samsung phone) but they do pair.
I have my daith pierced and it doesn't feel great with it but it does still fit and work.
For small ears they are a bit large and I wish had something to go over the ear but all in all they are great.

Connectivity is done automatically or by connecting through your device bluetooth settings.
Connecting to my Airfly was the toughest though since it has no bluetooth setting screen, but it does recognize the airfly and pair with it. To do it, open the case with the earbuds inside. Push the button on the side to get the case light to flash blue (discover and pair). Then put the Airfly in pairing mode. Since the earbuds are not in your ears, you wont be able to hear pairing confirmation, but they will pair. Switching back to the airfly can be done by turning the airfly off then on. It will never say "connected to Airfly" for some reason - it just connects.
I miss the button on the old case, but these earbuds are worth the switch. They are smaller, more comfortable and the battery lasts longer.
2 weeks later: Two other slight negatives. The case does not have wireless charging (the old case did), but the smaller case size is an acceptable tradeoff. Also, I realized that the Bose iOS app only seems to recognize iOS products, so although it can connect to my AirFly and my MacBook Pro, the app only offers my iPhone and iPad to switch between. Not a huge issue because I usually use the Bluetooth settings to switch devices which works fine.
Still, all the positives of the Bose QC II's are still there: Great noise cancelling, great sound and great comfort. Plus the Bose do not fall out of my ears when eating which my AirPods often did.

Making the rubber part that holds them in your ears a 2 piece design makes them perfect.
I loved the originals but my right ear piece never felt 100% secure and I used to fiddle with it a lot, usually in the gym on the running machine. I had tried other ear buds from other manufacturers and the Bose were the best of the lot, so I lived with the mild irritation that it caused.
Well, I bought the version 2 as they were heavily discounted on prime day and after trying a couple of combinations of settled on mid-size ear loop and the small bud to go in the ear and it feels very secure and very, very comfortable.
The sound quality is great. It’s supposed to be better than the older ones, but to be fair, they’re brilliant as they are.
The noise cancelling seems better but I need to test it further - again, it’s no worse than the old buds and they were as good as you would ever need.
I’ve made a few phone calls and apparently my voice is clear on the calls and I can hear the other person perfectly well. This is an improvement over the previous model as occasionally people said they couldn’t hear me too well on phone calls.
The case and design is great as it’s much smaller and more ‘pocketable’ than the previous version.
The only negative comment is that Bluetooth connection to my phone has been a bit ‘buggy’, but after a while it sorts itself out - it could easily be my phone that’s to blame not the headphones.
So basically, to round up lots of little improvements and for me, one big one in the improvement to how they fit.
Well done Bose.
Apart from the previous version of these, which I’ve given to my wife, I also own the Sony XM3 over ear headphones, which have incredible sound quality and sound staging, even better than these. However, if I could only have 1 pair of headphones, it would be the Bose all day long, they just feel more comfortable so that you can wear them for hours and hours and that’s important. If you don’t like wearing them, you won’t use them, no matter how good the sound quality is.
