This is a fantastic light duty workbench for the price! If you are looking for an inexpensive workbench for model assembly or painting, jewelry making, small wood projects or electronics, this is worth a second look.

Pros:

Built in three outlet strip, can be put on left or right of bench

Built in overhead light with a switch (some workbenches with lights do not have switches)

Two wide drawers

Upper and lower shelves

Sturdy when fully assembled

Relatively easy to assemble (though the assembly process is long)

Reality Check:

You won't be using this to rebuild engines

Hardware kit includes exactly the number of fasteners you need to assemble the bench, but no more. Don't lose any!

Light included is about 14 watts. Fine for general lighting of the bench, but not enough for detailed work. You may need supplemental lighting. The existing light fits underneath the upper shelf, and it seems like it would be very easy to put in a stronger light.

Bench looks pretty good, but it's built for function, not for looks. As an example, the drawers work fine but have large gaps around their faces.

Everything considered, I'm incredibly happy with this bench. If you have Prime, this 90 pound bench gets delivered to your door at no extra cost. That's a pretty good deal! If you keep in mind what this bench is supposed to be, it's a great value.

NOTE: The photo shows a white pegboard, but only because I painted it to help the light provide more illumination. The pegboard comes in the package in a natural tan/brown.

I'm not one to spend time reviewing a product but I'll make an exception. I debated building a workbench from scratch or buying this workbench off Amazon. The price of wood is just too prohibitive no. I'm very pleased I went ahead and bought this workbench instead of building from scratch. It's sturdy, easy to assemble, although one of my dogs ran off into the yard with my bag of bolts spilling them everywhere. No worries, I was able to retrieve the bolts and nuts. The workbench is the perfect size too. Has two drawers, a peg board back to hang tools and a nice big area for storage down below. Very pleased and I highly recommend.

Okay.. I liked it so much that I bought two! Assembly was a little more than I thought it would be, but that's only because it's big and it's metal. Had a little trouble with one of the drawers, but I "fixed" it. It's sturdy enough, but not as much as if you spent twice this amount. The big deal here is that is works as advertised, and is a great deal for the money. I would reccommend getting an overall power strip for the unit. The three outlets that it provides are not enough for a workbench.

The drawers slide smoothly and fit nicely, although beyond using one of the drawers for my 1/2"-drive ratchets and extensions and a couple of torque wrenches I'm not taxing them too much. I have a three-drawers toolbox on the bottom shelf and it works fine for that. A nice bonus is the light fixture and the electrical outlet that is nicely recessed into the side. Now I know what my parents feel like when I visit.
I have never been more disappointed in my life.

First the assembly was tedious, the orientation of some parts were not well explained. I am positive cave men could do better illustrations. I also found the holes were not drilled out enough for bolts in some locations. As thin as this metal is it wasnt an issue. I just used a nail file to widen the holes which was very concerning that I was able to do that.

Its flimsy, it wobbles alot, even just closing the drawer it wobbles. It has the shakes like Wilford Brimley going into sugar shock. I figure this is because of the poor quality of the leg pieces and cross beams. Whitney Houstons coffee table had thicker lines than the parts of this bench. when you scoot it you can actually put it on a bind where it wont sit level so if you buy this also buy a copy of twilight so you can slip it under the side thats off the ground.

Highly doubtful this product can support the weight that is stated. Perhaps you meant to list its capacity as ounces and not pounds? It barely holds its own weight like Rosie O'Donnel but less racist.

Over all pretty unhappy. Should have spent an extra 100 or 2 for a kobalt or craftsman.

Received mine last night. Was able to set it up by myself with minimal difficulties. Be sure to take your time, keep the hardware organized and read the instructions thoroughly! All the information IS IN THE INSTRUCTIONS.

First thoughts:
Great little unit for the cost. I bought it mostly to have in my basement/office for doing work on my PCs and tool storage. The value of cost to quality of what I received is very good. The box I received it in had some minor shipping damage, it has plastic banding wrapped around the cardboard to hold it all together and the banding had cut into the box in several locations, not a big deal over all.

This IS NOT A HEAVY DUTY WORK BENCH. Don't be expecting it to hold massive amounts of weight or take a lot of abuse. The metal is not overly thick, but the way its bent and fastened together makes it plenty sturdy. The work tops of it are not great though, don't expect them to take a lot of abuse. For the hobbyist or enthusiast I think this is a fantastic work bench though. If you're doing any sort of metal work or mechanics you may want to invest in a better top for it.

Make sure you've got everything squared up before you tighten all the hardware, it will especially make a difference with the Drawers and how well/far they slide in. I thought I had mine squared up until I put the drawers in and then had to make minor adjustments. Overall I think it took me around 3 hours to fully assemble. Make sure you have a large space that you can walk around the unit.

Now, the one thing I wish I had checked out... And this is entirely my fault and no fault of the unit itself. The Back of the unit is shorter than I expected. I expected to have more height to the top shelf and the peg board. THIS IS ENTIRELY MY FAULT. I didn't do my homework sufficiently and the photos make it appear larger than it is. Aside from that, the unit is perfect for my intentions. Just make sure its going to work for yours. The Top counter height is very good, I'm 5'11" and it comes up to my waist so it is comfortable to stand in front of and handle a project.

The Peg board could be thicker though, but honestly, this may be a standard size since all the hooks and accessories I bought do fit it perfectly, just seems thin to me. I may end up replacing it with a steel one, though I don't foresee any issues with the one it comes with either.

All in all, I don't regret buying this unit at all.

One thing about mine though, for the top shelve assembly, where the peg board screws to the top, they failed to put two holes in the plate. Not a big deal, but quality control could have been better. Also, there is no EXTRA hardware, so try not to misplace anything.

Great bench for the price! I thought the assembly was challenging but not impossible. Having someone to hold things would be helpful. I did manage on my own. The instructions say to leave the bolt tightening to the end. This is good advise especially when installing the drawers. Only hand tighten until the end. This will give you leeway to adjust and square it up.

For small tasks. The instructions don't tell you where to use the slightly longer screws. Pro tip: Use them where the pegboard is secured. I had to move some around after I came up short. Also, the top screw holes were not counter sunk like the work surface and lower shelf.

The posts that hold up the top have an offset hole in the not quite middle. Line that up with the pegboard to make sure it is the right alignment. The upper part and peg board are a two person job.

Shipping was horrible. The box was mutilated beyond use. There was some minor damage to some of the components but it's going to look worse when I get done using it.
