Customers are mixed about the ease of assembly of the transport rack. Some mention that it's pretty simple to put together by looking at the photos. 1500+ mile trip
5 Stars
1500+ mile trip
Just finished a 1500 mile trip on the East Coast. Traveled everything from dirt/gravel roads in the mountains to I-95 during our trip. I was very impressed with the sturdiness of this carrier. With 4 tie-downs attached to the bike, there was very little movement. The anti-rattle hitch device worked very well and kept everything stabilized and secure. I have a 200cc bike with a curb weight of about 275 lbs. I used magnetic tail lights that I placed in the ramp as the bike did cover much of my tail lights - this definitely made highway travel much safer. My only two slight negatives would be 1.) it would be nice if the anti-rattle hitch piece were welded into the tube, and 2.) a slightly longer ramp. I have a Tacoma with a 3 inch lift and 32 inch tires, and the angle of the ramp is a bit steep. A full size pick up with any lift or oversize tires will probably be even steeper. However, during most loading and unloading situations, I was able to find a small hill that helped decrease the angle of the ramp making loading and unloading pretty easy. But honestly, for the security and stability this carrier provided me, those were very minor issues. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to haul a bike that is in the 300 lb range or lighter.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great carrier for the price!
Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2018
Let me say first, I love using this carrier. I took it on a multi-state (1000 + mikes) trip on the back of my minivan and it worked flawlessly. It is far more convenient than I expected it to be. It's easy to load and unload. The anti-rattle device works well enough, although kind of a pain to install the first few times, until you get the hang of it. Assembly was pretty straight forward and not difficult, but this rack is made from thinner "steel"... And that is where the problem is. When you assemble the carrier, you have to pay extra attention to how much you tighten the bolts, because you WILL bend (crush) the "steel" rectangular tubes in your effort to make the rack tight and secure. This is why I only gave it 4 stars. I feel like, with enough use, I will have to do some modifications to make the rack stronger and more durable. But for the money paid and the convenience of this carrier (even with the strength issue), I would recommend this to my friends.

3.0 out of 5 stars Overall okay, but has some flaws
Reviewed in the United States on March 27, 2016
Assembly: Pretty easy, instructions are pretty vague but you can figure it out by looking at the pieces. Took about 45 minutes to put together.

Quality: Okay. Not terrible, not great. Metal is pretty thin so it dents fairly easily but I think it will hold up just find over time.

Installation: I couldn't get the hitch pin that was sent with it to fit properly in my receiver so I used another one I had. I had problems with the holes lining up with my hitch receiver so actually had to drill out the holes on this carrier to get the hitch pin in. After that it fit fine.

Other thoughts: I have a 4runner with a 3'' lift and bought this based upon others saying the ramp works fine with lifted trucks. Not the case. It's at a pretty steep incline to wheel the dirt bike up on. It's doable but I had to have a 2nd set of hands to keep it straight and push it up. Even with a stock truck or SUV, the ramp should be longer to wheel the bike up on to. Straps down pretty easy but has some play in it so make sure it's tight.

All and all, for the money it's hard to beat but it's not the best thing in the world. Cheaper than buying a trailer and stores smaller so it's worth it.

La rampa viene golpeada. Fatal.
