By far the best portable monitor i ever used. smooth 240hz and it has quite good color/motion for the price its a no brainer. Asus equivalent is 3x the price of this one.
My only issue is the side button (multi function switch input/increase decrease brightness) is quite annoying to use and i'm not sure about the reliability of the monitor long term.
Also it has MINI HDMI Input (i prefer Full HDMI Size) which i resolved by buying a cheap mini hdmi/Full HDMI Adapter or you can use the included mini HDMI to Full HDMI Cable

A: When connecting to the monitor using 1 USB-C cable, the screen is dark and the brightness is low to prevent an insufficient power supply. For extra brightness, please make sure to use a Type-C cable and power charger to supply power to the monitor.

Perfect for my Reolink security system. It’s located within a closet and needed a laptop sized screen that didn’t take up a lot of space. It plugged right up and immediately worked using the hdmi cable that came with the unit. I don’t keep the monitor on, but whenever I need to see the security system I hit the power button and it powers up within sec.

This has the typical afflictions of most low end portable monitors. But this one has a couple extra. On the plus side this has to be the thinnest one I’ve seen yet. It’s slightly thicker at the bottom but for most of the height of the monitor it is very very slim.
The picture quality is just mediocre with colors looking washed out and the maximum brightness not being very powerful. In this case the more you raise the brightness the more washed out the colors look.
Most of the sound on these units is pretty bad but this one is actually worse. I could barely hear a few YouTube videos I tried to watch with the volume cranked to maximum. Much worse than even the speaker on my old iPhone.
There’s a couple things unique to this model. For some reason the smart cover is about a centimeter longer than the actual unit. I’m not sure why but so you end up getting a cover that sticks out on one end. And you cannot center the cover because of the magnet. So you’re always going to get empty space on one side.
And speaking of magnets the magnet that holds the smart cover is extremely weak making it extremely difficult to set the smart cover up as a stand. Over time this problem became super annoying. At first it seemed like a small thing but as I tried to use it more and more it became my prime annoyance.
I like the menu buttons instead of using that horrible rocker button that so many of them use. And I like the fact that all the ports are on the same side except for some weird micro USB port that I have no idea what it’s for because the power is USB-C. It’s not directly addressed in the manual but apparently they show it providing power as well. So at least you have two options for powering this. One on each side I guess that’s actually a plus.
Even at this low price though the monitor is just not very good. For a few dollars more or you can get one with a battery and at least as good a picture. Or you’re better off buying $100 android tablet and using it as a second monitor. You can get a better picture and better sound even though it will be slightly smaller. If you really need a quality second monitor you can buy one of the name brands but you’re gonna pay around 300 minimum.
I can’t really recommend this. Particularly with the messed up smart cover. There are dozens of brands selling nearly identical monitors at the same price or less, and these don’t have oversized smart covers that will drop your monitor on the table.

Edit: I’m still not a fan of this particular monitor. All of the problems still stand with the exception of the oversize cover which was explained to me that it helps protect the corners of the monitor. I think if it did it would allow the monitor to sit in the middle of it but it the magnet wants to move it to one side or the other which is odd. However Customer Service did reach out to me and they were very interested in hearing suggestions for improvements and address my issues with the monitor. So this doesn’t usually happen but I have to give credit for the company for trying to improve their products and to make it right for each and every customer.
