Pros:
(1) It works. I was able to swap it in quickly.
(2) It appears to be sturdier than the one it replaced.
(3) It has a cute feature that my other controller did not: It can be turned on and off automatically by sensors attached to the power cords of your various tools. I ended up buying two of those sensors, even though they seemed rather expensive to me.
Cons:
(1) The default time delay is annoying. It is a design feature, intended to stagger the peak power demands caused by motors starting up, and to allow time for dust to be cleared from tubes when a machine stops. However, the default delay was so long that I found myself pressing the switch again and again, thinking that the button push had not registered. (This was a problem with the remote of my old controller.) It is also annoying if you turn the unit on and then change your mind. I have the impression that the off-button does not register if pushed during the time delay period after the on-button is pushed, and vice a versa.
Regarding the add-on sensor unit (iVac Pro remote): I ran into complications with installation, getting power for the remote device. The sensor unit is powered through a USB cable, like a cell phone charger, from a small power-supply with a built-in two prong plug. For both tools, I have power outlets recessed into the concrete workshop floor, with removable protective covers. One machine uses 110 volts, and was not a big problem. The 110-volt outlets have two sockets, but I couldn't get the power supply in, because the socket is recessed. I ended up having to attach a plastic electrical box, with a switch and a duplex outlet, to my router table. I now have a coil of cables dangling from the router table (USB cable and router power cable), but it works. I have not yet solved the table saw problem. It runs on 220 volts, and the power cable has only three wires (the two power phases, and a safety ground). With no neutral, I can't tap 110 volt one-phase power. I can't add a 110 volt outlet to the floor, since the 220-volt outlet fills up the space in the box in the floor. I am thinking of converting the floor outlet to a 4-prong unit (with neutral), running a cord to an adapter box with a 3-prong 220-volt outlet for the saw and a 110-volt outlet for the power supply of the iVac PRO remote. All those parts will end up costing me more than the device I am trying to power! :( , not to mention the potentially dangerous clutter of cables on the floor.
Why not power the remote sensor unit with a battery, like the remote control for this unit?
I could not find a definitive answer as so whether or not the HF 2HP dust collector was too much for this switch without the use of a contactor. Various tests show the HF dust collector simply does not draw anywhere near the current that you would expect from a 2HP collector, so it's realistically just not a 2HP collector.
Given that I decided to take a chance with this, and if I burn it out, I burn it out. Several months later, this has been working just fine. I don't keep the DC on for very long periods. I think about 20 minutes or so is the longest it's typically running, and usually just starts and stops with the table saw.
So far no issues.
The REAL game changer with this is the sensor you can buy to detect power going to the tool. I added one to my table saw and it made a huge quality of life improvement for me.

The unit came with a power cable adaptor to convert the plug from 20 amp to standard 15 amp outlet.
You can easily program the stop delay to various timing in case of your with a vacuum or dust extractor. In my case I needed to react with no delay for the Sprayer. So I program the delay to ZERO second.
The unit woks flawlessly every time.
Very well built, with big power cable.

Just think of you having this remote in your pocket and activating your dust collector by just pressing a button instead of walking over twice, on and off.
