Read the whole instruction manual thoroughly, it recommends before you use the product to cook a lemon for 15 minutes to remove any funny smells! Ok, so after opening the basket upon completion of the 15 minutes found the lemon completely stained the basked black, washed for an hour and it’s never coming out. Never even got to use this product once!! Furious is an understatement, I can’t recommend you going with another manufacturer of air fryers and don’t get screwed like me. Literally received yesterday and not even registered the warranty yet. Complete loss 😬Today manufacturer contacted me to offer a replacement or refund. I asked for a basket only since that is the only affected part. This shows the company actually cares about its product and customer’s opinion. Bravo!

This air fryer is very large, which I like. First meal cooked in it was panko crusted chicken tenders with waffle fries. 15 minutes on 400 degree setting and the tenders crisped up nicely and were literally as moist as chick-fil-a's and we weren't able to discern a difference between the fries (we air fried frozen fries instead of fresh cut which crisp up better in my experience). My wife was quite impressed as well and we now have a new cheat meal for Friday nights -- chick-fil-a at home w/ half the fat!
The fryer is big enough that I was able to cook more than enough tenders and fries for the boys in 1 basket. But I had to repeat the process again for my wife and myself which meant that we weren't all eating at the same time. Ordered a 2nd one to solve that problem. Fries in 1 and tenders in the other and we're all good in 15 minutes. If you're cooking for a family, I don't see a reason to get a fryer smaller than this one. Size equals cooking space so I picked this fryer and couldn't be happier. Go big or go home in my opinion.
But that leads to the counter space issue that many are mentioning. I posted a picture next to a large toaster for reference on the size. Did I mention that this thing is huge? Now I have 2 of them. Not a big deal for us -- the garage isn't far from the kitchen so we'll just bring it out when needed. But if you don't have a place to store this thing, it should factor into your decision to purchase.
Edited 5/3/23 -- both air fryers are still going strong. My wife dropped the basket for one of the air fryers twice because she pushed the release button while shaking the basket (I've shaken the basket 100 times without pushing the button so not sure how that happened, but apparently it's possible :) ) so it got bent slightly and we have to work a little bit to get that basket closed properly which is required for the fryer to work. But both fryers still work well and get plenty of use. We don't do the chicken tenders as much anymore but use them on plenty of other foods.

I have to tell you I did a lot of research before deciding on this one. I was a little concerned that it would be too big ... but it's not. It is big ... but in a good way. I have placed it in the corner of my counter, and it fits under my cupboards, no problem. I also put it beside my large 8 qt. Instant Pot, so that you can really see the size of it. On my other pics, I have place baking pans with their size noted, so you get an idea of how large the basket is. The measurements on the Amazon page, I think, are a little off. Their overall measurements scared me a little. 18.31 D x 14.02 W x 15.25 H. Let me give you the measurements I took. The Depth & Width are about 13" and the height is just over 15". If you measure the depth right to the tip of the handle, then I would say it's 15.25" ... but not 18.31 D. The INSIDE of the basket is .. 10.75 D x 10 W x 5.25 H.
I hope these measurements help those of you that are not sure about the size. This would be a wonderful size for a family. We are only 2, but I wanted a large basket, and this is perfect. I often have my children and grandchildren over, so the bigger, the better. I wish I could find accessories that were larger than the standard 8" and that would be a better fit for this large size basket.
This product looks sturdy and well made. Yes, I only got it today, but I'm beyond impressed. As always, I will update my review if there are any issues, but I am hopeful there won't be.
Update: After 1 week of using it almost every day ... I have to say that it cleans beautifully ... and easily.

Pros-
It works well, all the buttons etc function well. If you remove the basket and shake or flip food, once you re-insert the basket into the machine it starts up from where you left off. It’s very easy to use. It’s giant size is a bonus. I actually have leftovers now when I cook for my family, which I didn’t with the smaller one. However, even though it’s huge I can still fit it under the cabinets on top of my kitchen counter. I love, love, love the colour and profile. It’s a beautiful looking machine! So far it has handled everything I put in it pretty well, food came out juicy and fully cooked.
Cons-
It’s very cheaply made. The outer housing and the inner part of the machine don’t fit well together and there are gaps. My biggest concern is the basket design. It has a removable grill basket with a handle that clips onto the outer basket. Sadly where the grill basket clips into outer basket is so poorly made I am always afraid that it’s going to come loose and fall on my feet at some point. There is only one point of contact that holds together the heavy duo of grill and outer basket and it is WOBBLY! The moulded plastic (see pics) is badly done. Ou have to constantly fight to get the basket to sit flush in the machine and even then there are gaps. Also the grill basket sits very low in the outer basket, which means that if you have anything like a whole chicken or some other food that releases juices there is a danger that your food will not have adequate air flow under the grill. I suppose the idea was to give more room but an air fryer doesn’t cook layers, it’s supposed to cook just a single layer of food. This basket is big enough that it didn’t need to be extra deep to cook food well. I wonder how durable it’s going to be based on its cheap construction and I wonder if I want to take the risk of having the basket come loose, or screws fall out or something in a short time.
