Earlier this year I purchased the entsport spinning golden rod. I loved it so much that I just had to get another one with a different design. I bought an entsport 3000 series reel to go with the rod, and they perform beautifully. Nice accurate casts and smooth retrieves. I ordered the medium action tip since that's the one I use on my golden rod. It's just the right stiffness to get good hook sets and still have nice action at the tip. You won't be disappointed with this rod. Very light and durable. Would definitely buy again.
Update. While I was out on the river I hooked into a monster carp on this medium action rod and the tip snapped. Not to worry though. After e-mailing Sportmall about my problem. They replied by offering me 2 new rod tips. Absolutely amazing customer service. Good product and the seller is very easy to work with and will make sure their customers are satisfied. Still 5 stars even though I had a tip break. But let's be honest. This rod wasn't built to handle 30+ pound carp. However it does make an excellent bass rod.
