With that said, I don’t know much about truffles and I’m not a professional chef…however, I am a self proclaimed foodie with a very delicate palate and am quite snobby when it comes to food. I read many reviews and decided to give this brand a try. I purchased the 3 bottle gift set with Black, white, and English truffle oils to try. Not knowing much of what to expect except what I’ve tasted on other foods, I immediately opened the English truffle oil, cut up an heirloom tomato, drizzled then added salt and pepper for an impromptu taste test…the English truffle oil blew my mind. It smelled delicious, buttery flavor and when it hit my tongue, my tastebuds did a happy dance and I did a happy shimmy. The flavor was nutty, buttery and added umami to just tomatoes! I can’t wait to try the other flavors and on other foods. So far it’s a 5-star rating for just the one oil alone, I will update review when I try the others. for now, I’m just excited to eat my veggies!

I use all three bottles of oil. White, Black and Burgundy (also know as English Truffle Oil). It £20 for 3 rather than £10 per bottle. I actually use the oil to train my Working Cocker Spaniel to hunt for truffles. Iv been now training her with this oil for the last year. She is now searching for truffles. In The autumn she has found over 1kg of black truffles and also burgundy too. She now works with a few different farmers to search there truffle orchard. Both 3 oils do have a different smell. Burgundy and Black are mostly the same. The White truffle oil is a lot lighter scent and softer scent. The oil it well packed. The bottles are a good size and you really do not need lots when adding it to food. And as scent training for dogs too it's brilliant.
