Easy to assemble, does what it's supposed to do

Easy to assemble, does what it's supposed to do
I bought these to do incline shoulder presses. I'll probably never use it with the 500lbs it's allegedly rated for. Very sturdy. I saw other reviews saying that these were not stable and wobbly and difficult to assemble. I have to assume that they either assembled it wrong or didn't have the right tools to assemble it properly. I've used it twice in the last 2 days since I got it and I find that it's very sturdy. The only problem i have is that the spotter hooks don't go up high enough to be useful.

3.0 out of 5 stars Acceptable for average lifters
Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2021
I'm putting together a "mini-gym" in my 8x12 utility trailer, and was very limited on equipment choices due to the small space. These stands work perfectly for my situation. I'm a moderate lifter, and never bench more than 200lbs or so. I should begin by saying that it appears this model is either made in one factory, and sold by dozens of sellers... Or, their are multiple factories making them at varying levels of quality to keep pricing low. (based on reviews and different customer experiences.) I purchased the "F2C" brand based on reviews, but it came in a "Zenfit" box, so your experience may vary. Assembly (about 30 min) was easy and straightforward using a ratchet and wrench. All parts were accounted for, and in good condition. Paint finish was good. The tubing was a little thin for a piece of gym equipment in my opinion, ( I took special care not to over-tighten bolts, so the tube wouldn't collapse) but once assembled, it felt like a sturdy unit. The stabilizing flat metal pieces were much thicker gauge than the tubes. It's not something you'd find in a gym, and I wouldn't recommend carelessly tossing huge amounts of weight on it, but used properly by normal humans of average size and ability, it's fine. Power-lifters constantly pushing their limits, should not be using indie stands anyway. My research turned up other "indie" stands made in USA of heavier gauge steel... But they're around 72" tall, $300-$400, and not adjustable. This may be what you need if you've got the space, and lift heavy. The strength co. , and Rogue have them.
UPDATE: 1-30-21: Finally received my plates, and was able to test these stands. They work as expected, if used with controlled lifting, and nesting of the barbell. (Even better if you weigh down the feet) If you lift in a controlled manner, and don't exceed about 250... MAYBE 300lbs... these are a bargain and offer great flexibility for small spaces. I used foam rubber and 'Gorilla' tape on the 'J'hooks to prevent scratching of my bar.
