I intended to use them as stencils, to number a bunch of tiny drawers, but they're useless as stencils. Not only could I not get a magic marker through the holes, I couldn't even get a mechanical pencil (skinny lead) point into the slots.
I'm not sure even spray paint would get down into that slot - it's THAT Skinny! Since you can't tell from the pics, these are pretty small. Slightly smaller than a Dime. They are sturdy, & well made as tags, but useless as stencils.
Pros:
* Metal, so sturdy. Not as thick as a dime, but not gonna bend, either.
* No burrs on mine. Smooth edges, inside & out.
* Nice font, & all are centered.
* Nice Neutral color. Kind of a dark dusty gray.
Cons:
* Smaller than a dime, so not going to show up from very far away.
* Not their intended use, but useless as a stencil, which is the only reason I bought them.
* They have to be nailed on with a super tiny nail, that doesn't come with them.
* Kinda pricey for what you get. Yeah, they're metal, & nicely finished, but the bloated government manages to make Nickels for a Nickel, so what's up with these costing 5 times as much (25 cents each), for a lot less metal?
Anyway, if you want them as tiny ID tags, great, get them. They're still cute, but they have to be nailed on with a super tiny nail, that doesn't come with them.
Might be good as a charm on a bracelet, but otherwise, I have no idea what I'll do with them now. Maybe make up a game with numbers for the kids? Maybe...
