The good:
Holds 2x more than the typical carry next to you type sprayers.
Battery operated!!! No more pumping!
Battery appears to last a long time. I have used it for about 10 refills and the battery hasn't been charged yet and still works.
The wand has a locking mechanism for continuous spraying
Seems sturdily built
The bad:
You can't quite fill it up to the full 4 gallon mark or it overflows in the real world
It weighs a lot once it's filled up up.
The review:
I have used this for about 40 gallons worth of spraying RoundUp Pro Concentrate and I have not had any issues with performance of this. It does get pretty heavy when you have it full of whatever you are spraying so I would recommend that you fill it up while it is sitting on something that is a little elevated off the ground. I choose to do this on the edge of my retaining wall that sits about 3ft off the ground. this allows me to not have to bend down as far to pick it up and put it on.
It has a chest clip though that really does help take the load off once you have your arms through the straps.
As for the actual spray performance, I have only used the fanning spray nozzle (red tip) and it covers what I need it to just fine. Doesn't get clogged at all.
Be sure to read the directions and do a good plain water rinse on it after you get done using your chemicals in it.
The battery makes the pump run once you squeeze the sprayer handle and it's pretty quiet. Just sort of purrs on your back and then quits once it gets to pressure or you release the handle.
If you pay close attention you can start to hear the pump trying a little harder when you start to get low on your chemical and then about 30 seconds later your nozzle starts the doing the sputter to indicate you are pretty much on "E".
it did take a time or two for me to remember to turn the switch to the "On" position before I loaded it on my back but once you get used to it you can sort of feel around for the switch on the left bottom side.
All-in-all this is a great upgrade from the bottle sprayers I used to use. Now that I have about 3/4 of an acre of just weed areas alone on my property this really saves me time and energy. I always feel accomplished and like I made a big dent in the weeding work when I get done using this for the day. I would recommend this to anyone that has a semi-large walking area to maintain. Anything over an acre of weeds though would probably warrant a real pull-behind sprayer.
Here's the thing: I am not spraying continuously, I'm spraying individual weeds but at times I'll spray for upwards of 5-6 seconds when I encounter a cluster of weeds. The sprayer kept-up just fine but after 4-5 seconds you will notice a reduction in pressure and it starts 'falling-off', after 8-10 seconds you're at half-power. Of course, this will vary depending which spray head you use.
Now let me tell you about my awesome modification! Since you no longer have to pump the sprayer, I decided to convert mine into a dual-sprayer unit! I cut the hose about 6 inches coming out of the tank and then went to Home Depot and bought a plastic/nylon Tee fitting. I then got some fuel-injection clamps (not band clamps), these clamps are smooth and let you really cinch down on the hose. I took another hose and sprayer and now I have a sprayer in each hand! This proved to be incredibly more production and faster working through the orchard. You can also bring the sprayers together to double-saturate a weed as well. Did the sprayer keep-up with having TWO sprayers going? Yes, it did but if both sprayers were going for more then 5-6 seconds I did notice the pressure reduced and I wasn't get as much a mist/spray but instead more streaming. Still, double-sprayer is the way to go, I'm surprised they don't offer this already.
I removed the in tank filter and it worked just fine. Apparently the mixture of herbicide, Amine was a little too thick to easily pass through the filter screen. Works well now!

Reviewed in Canada on September 22, 2023
When I started spraying I found the spray was not very strong and I had primed the pump and line for about a minute before starting to spray, then all of a sudden after about 5 minutes of spraying I heard the pump speed up and the pressure was great, it stayed like that until the tank was empty. I refilled the tank and the same thing happened. On the third tank full, the pump never got up to full pressure and it took longer to get that tankful sprayed. I don't know why the pump will not pump at full pressure all the time.
Maybe some one could let me know how to solve this problem.
Overall I like the sprayer, I just need to get full pressure "all " the time.
