    Compared to Grado SR80
Usability - is 5++ stars:I enjoy the Monitor's build and material quality, it's simply awesome. Well noise isolation and suitable for conf calls, good portability, fit & sit well. After I found a proper angle for my ears I can forget about them for 2 hours.Sound quality - is 4 stars:After a month of use I'm able to compare Monitors (without F.T.F) to Grado SR80, which I own for 4 years already. That relates only to the careful listening of well known compositions:- monitors feels like they are more into bass (yes cap!), well suited for rock, alternative, hip-hop, electronic and other bass and mid-bass music, you'll defenetely engoy the boomy pressure if you missed that- well the opposite feelings if you try to listen flamenco, classics, vocal and other compositions that consist of various music instruments and try to concentrate on the each tiny detail of well known instrument -> you'll firstly find, that they simply not a mid-high to high tone headphones- compared to SR80, I was not able to hear those pretty details in mid and highs, that feels like no clarity and air, instruments are kind of suppressed and stiffed, more bassy, they doesn't sound bright, with enough strength and for such length. That cause shift in the balance between instruments. Well noticed on violin and piano. I found that the following equalizer preset could help out: +5..8 dB from 1.2k and up or/and suppress the bass from 1.2k and down (see the screenshot)- less obertones can be discovered- I found too much of Hall or Chorus effect in the compositions where it exists already.- you could have a low mic sensitivity in soft-phones due to the higher impedance, adjust the presets and it will get betterSummary:I consider Marshall Monitors as a great day to day headphones for their price, they are portable and well suited for background listening, conf calls, etc. You'll hardly notice missing sound details, if you are used to listen music as a background, therefore can be a slightly cured by adjusting equalizer to fit your preferred music style

Here is the deal with these headphones. They are the best u can get for the $100-400 price range. At this price u have to be a fool not to buy them. They sound better than the Bose, better than the Beats and better than almost any headphone u compare it too. The sound is different. Marshall sounds like you went to a small club with about 50 people and heard a live band with a excellent sound system. When listening to music you hear every instrument so much clearer than ever before. The best way to describe it is the music sounds real not computerized. Beats u get great bass but very little treble. Bose u get the complete opposite. Bose need to realize people like bass in their music as well. But the Marshall has this rumble bass that's great. And you can still hear the treble. The build quality is totally there. The design and look is incredible. The best part is no one is really rocking them b/c their trying to be kool with the beats. But Marshall blows them all away. And with them being around for so long their not going to just put out junk to make money. I really do wonder if dr dre uses his own headphones since they are made for the masses.
But Marshall headphones have one big flaw. They are very comfortable. The ear ups are to small. I have them And really like them and I'm incredibly happy that they sound better than earphones double to triple their price. But I can't listen to them more than 30 mins b/c the ear cups are to small. I spend so much time trying to adjust the ear to a comfortable position. But when the cups are too small no amount of adjusting will help. So now I'm forced to give them to my wife. And purchase another brand until Marshall realizes their mistake. Why make earphones so small? Just a little bigger and they would be perfect. And no I do not have big ears. If u have small ears then go for these. You will save a ton of money and have some of the best earphones on the market.

    Edit
I have just recently returned from Best Buy. After having my earphones for a couple days I wanted to compare them again to Bose and Beats. I was shocked at just how much better Marshall was. Marshall is years ahead of them both. Music with the Marshall sound very authentic and real. Its the difference between eating home cooking or a chain restaurant. I also realized that although the ear cups are small my left ear sticks out farther than my right which caused discomfort with the earphones. I had the same slight discomfort in the same ear when wearing Beats. So you just have buy them and try it out. As a side note I just noticed the other day that although these headphones are not noise canceling with a person talking right next right to me with the headphones on I can't hear a thing their saying. The cupping nature of the headphones must have something to do with this. And no I am not blasting the music it's just that the headphones really block out extra sound. Also don't listen to those reviewers saying the build quality is suspect because it's great! I constantly throw them in my backpack with not case and they just keep ticking.

Tried about 6 different headphones and these came out on top for me. Had to return them and get the monitor 2 because i didnt realize these were not bluetooth, but i plugged them into an old ipod and the sound quality is the best ive found. Theyre very cool looking, and they are comfortable even after 6 straight hours of wearing them. They get very loud and the battery life was great! Also love that they fit snugly against your skull vs other bulky goofy looking headphones. Another cool feature is the ear cups are held onto the headphones with magnets so you can take them off to clean them and pop them right back on. And when not in use, i kept them on my neck and the earcups fold inward so they sit flat against your chest instead of just being bulky and hanging there. The only difference between these and the monitor 2 is that the monitor 2 are wireless using bluetooth to connect to my phone. If you dont mind the wire, grab these for sure

I was immediately drawn to the sound! Warm, gritty, a bit kick. I love the sound of Marshall amplifiers in live shows so this makes sense. The sound delivery improves for all volume ranges when paired with a headphone amplifier. I use these with my computer to listen to a broad range of music and podcasts. These do quite well across many genres of sound but I particularly like what they do with some of the rock, country, and blues music I hear. These are not neutral representations of the artist's work—they bathe the sound with warmth and a touch of grit. Build quality is superb. I purchased my original pair in 2014 and used them nearly every day for six years. In that time I've only replaced the ear cups and got a new cord. The sound is still impeccable. Fit and finish are great. I've been able to wear them comfortably for hours at a time. I recently purchased a second pair since I'm working at home more often. One thing I truly appreciate is the dual headphone input. With my work computer, the audio source is to my right. On the home setup, the sound source is from my left. These headphones accommodate both without the cord being in the way. The star rating asked for noise cancellation, I'm taking that for meaning noise isolation as there is not an active noise cancellation feature.
