BIG difference
My old lights were ancient 12 vdc 1 watt LED's which put out about as much light as a Victorian candle. They were still going strong, but outdated and antiquated so I replaced them with these. Big difference, we can actually see each other now. I use these on a low voltage transformer from old landscape lighting and they work just fine, providing enough light for just about all nighttime activities without irritating the neighbors. Can't speak for longevity yet but would highly recommend these.
