As for the gun itself, the gun is a little over seven pounds, so it's extremely light and you can easily work with it overhead all day. It's very easy to get into tighter spaces and the collar around the "muzzle" digs into the wood just enough to get a good toenail in while dangling from a roof in precarious positions. Once the air pressure was set to the appropriate level, I barely ever had to finish nails off with a hammer, and the nails that didn't go through correctly where 100 percent user error as I was getting used to using a framing nailer and not the fault of the gun.
The gun is hardy and can take a beating. I also dropped it (several times) from the top of my ladder a good eight feet. It hit several rungs on the way down and emerged scuffed but no worse for wear. Apparently, the nail feeder is made of an easily fixable material, so even if you drop it until it breaks it won't completely kill the tool. Like other reviews said, a hanging hook would be nice.
Info I wish I could have found while comparison shopping for nailers: I run a 150 max PSI Porter Cable C2002-WK 6-gallon air compressor. Set at 85 PSI, this gun would drive around 12 nails before the compressor would kick on to refill. This was a big concern of mine going in, so if you've got a similar-sized pancake style compressor this is entirely reasonable rate of fire and just right for a job like this. The product also specifies 21-degree nails, although I bought 22 degree and had no misfires or hiccups. The nail angle thing was confusing for a newbie.
Love this gun. I look forward to the amount of time it will save on the next big project.
