Learning to live with who we are is a giant challenge when we have not dealt with issues from our past and childhood. Having been to one of Clare's concerts and thoroughly enjoyed it and found her performance clever and fun and her singing just great I had to read her story. It's a very honest open account of her life and I do look forward to finding out more. I loved this book for its honesty. It also made me understand that I am not alone when I mull over my teen years and lack of confidence.

I really wanted to love this after such positive reviews. Unfortunately I found I couldnt finish it. I found it was bogged down in unnecessary detil in parts and lost the flow of the first few chapters. It is however a very geniune and honest account which is very generous of Clare.

Loved this book. Such a down to earth and relatable story. A triumph over being in the wrong place and finding your way to who you are meant to be. Conquering depression, self esteem issues and going exploring to find your place in the world. Her song - Amazing Life is perfectly descriptive of this book. "You don't have to be just one thing, but you have to start with something". Following clues and letting it lead you to your right place. She is a songwriter and poet but this book shows what a wonderful writer and storyteller she is too. Courage boosting and possibility believing encouragement in a beautiful story.

I loved this book! It was easy to read and a great account of how it feels to have mental health concerns. Hopefully people read this book, although they may identify with Claire, they will at least understand the depth of despair someone may feel when they are suffering with a mental health issue. Claire is just a regular person with a wonderful family. It can happen to anyone! Hopefully too, this book helps reduce some of the stigma that still exists around mental health issues. Beautifully written and a joy to read.
