Great for 2 mile+, works for 1 mile as well.

Great track spike, very light. So light that I shaved 6 seconds off my mile PR. Super comfortable. I prefer to use these without the spikes on rubber tracks as your feet don't roll as much. The mesh top is tough and fits like a sock, literally. I personally think that the inside is too rough to wear them without socks, thin socks work very well. While Brooks made these for +3200m, they still are light and responsive enough for the 1 mile though I have a forefoot strike so your experience may vary depending on your running form in the 1 mile. I don't recommend these for people new to track who haven't found their niche yet. These are for longer distance track events and won't perform as well in 400, 600,1200 as other spikes will.
