Not too bad, a little complicated.

Not too bad, a little complicated.
Got one of these elsewhere for $80. It is not a very exciting drone, as it has a lot of electronics in place to control the drone for you, which in turn results in more stable flight & photo/video but takes away from the excitement of controlling altitude. Haven't tested the video quality yet, so will update my review afterwards.

This so called drone was horrible. I wish there was a way to give zero stars. It’s pure garbage. Flies on its own the controls don’t work nor does the application. I regret wasting the money. I regret getting this crap. I wish I read the reviews before ruining my son Christmas. Pure garbage even for the price. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Additionally; the app does not work either.

This being my first drone, it took a little getting used to. Definitely read the directions first!!! The directions really do explain everything and will prepare you for unexpected issues. (Didn't do this, ended up flying it straight into the wall after pushing the "up" button.) Once I got the hang of things, it is pretty easy to control. I look forward to having fun with it.

Don't waste your money. Arrived non-functional. Amazon support read from a script for a different model and couldn't be convinced they were in error. Huge disappointment, but that's pretty much how it goes with drones. F- do not recommend.

I have bought over 20 drones, this being the twenty something. Out of all of them, I have to say I don't like the throttle control of this quad-copter the most.

To start off with, I had to put 4 AA batteries in the transmitter. The problem is... I couldn't get it open! I had to wedge the cover off with a pocket knife and a screw driver. Closing it was just as tough!

Read the manual if yours came with one (mine didn't). When I turned on the transmitter and quad copter and attempted to throttle up, nothing happened! I began pressing buttons. WARNING: Don't press the button that says "Up" next to the throttle trim! If I had not been in my garage it would've taken off up into the clouds. It took some time to get it to wind down even after throttling down and then turning off the transmitter. My other quad-copters will power down when I do this, but not this one.

I eventually figured out that I could pull both sticks down and push them apart to gain throttle control. Only then can I throttle up to take off. Once the quad-copter is up and flying it is pretty responsive and reasonably agile. But another WARNING: Don't throttle down much beyond the middle while flying, the motors will turn off and the quad-copter will drop like a rock

The ability to use the goggles with this quad-copter is a pretty cool feature. Even if the resolution is low. The latency is not too bad, certainly better than the SYMA wireless camera and you can use this camera on your SYMA quadcopter also (which I do) for a low-grade VR experience. The software for Android is better than SYMA's also and provides the 3D VR function needed to split the video for the goggles.

So to summarize what I've said, pros and cons.

    Pros:
    Responsive controls
    Wireless camera with OK resolution
3D feature in the software to support VR goggles
    Strong body

    Cons:
Up switch that can make you lose your copter if you're not expecting it (it will fly away)
Will fall out of the sky if you hold the throttle a little more than half way down for a brief time (The motors shut off and must be reactivated)
Sometimes hard to get to shut down when you really need it to (The props kept spinning when I wanted it to shut off. Maybe I got a bad one because it's inconsistent.)
The battery door is near impossible to open or close (at least in the one I had)

Everything at first seemed to work fine, but the camera feature is horrible. It doesnt even work with the phone apps and i have tried many different phones. Money lost over this and never even got to use it once. BEWARE...
