The GROUT PEN I received has a dry white tip, is it broken or did I receive the wrong color?

Tips need to be primed before use, all brand new GROUT PENS have a dry white tip until they are activated.

The tip of my GROUT PEN fell out or is worn down, is my pen broken?

Tips are designed to be removable so when a tip becomes worn or damaged it can be taken out and flipped over. If the tip falls out do not worry, simply put it back in and keep working.

How To Use GROUT PEN

First activate the pen on a scrap piece of paper (by rapidly pumping tip 30+ times) to get the liquid flowing easily. After the tip is fully saturated, gently draw on the grout line the same as you would with a marker. No need to push the tip into the grout while dragging it across the grout line.

This basically allows you to paint your grout. I had retiled by bathroom,using white grout, but the tiler "forgot" to seal the grout. As a result, the white grout turned orange in less than 6 months. No amount of grout cleaner worked. After buying this baby, I cleaned the floor very well, then basically painted over the grout. I applied the paint a couple of times just to make sure I had full coverage (especially given the fact that my grout is white), let it dry, then sealed the whole thing. My floor looks brand new. Since it is a small bathroom, I still have plenty left in the pen in case I need to touch up in the future. It is so easy to do, and the cost is so small, that I'm not all that concerned about longevity. This can probably also be used to change the color of the grout without have to to re-grout.

Ok, so this is not going to cover up moldy grout, certainly not with a single coat. It is really meant for discolored grout. I also found it tended to run dry as I was drawing on the lines (maybe I draw too fast). However, tracing all the lines was easier than I thought it would be, and the end result looks really nice. So far, after about a month, it seems to be holding up. So: works well enough, certainly easier than regretting your tile!!

Pen works great and looks beautiful on my old white grout (thin grout between 4" tiles). BUT, the package says it will cover up to 60m and I got less than half of one short wall and the ink is all used. At this rate it will take 10-15 pens to do my small bathtub enclosure, not cost effective at all.

UPDATE: the customer service here is the best I’ve ever dealt with. The owner reached out to me after seeing my negative review and went above and beyond to resolve the issue. Most importantly, she did it without asking for an updated review in return. 90% of the companies I’ve had to deal with these last couple of months have wanted to buy my review. I’m disgusted that Amazon even allows that. But this one is legit. I’ll continue to order from her.

ORIGINAL REVIEW - The product, while it lasts, is great. My kitchen countertops look like new. But the tip wears out before even half of the paint is used, which makes the entire pen useless. It’s ridiculous to have to throw the entire thing away when it still has so much paint in it. They should include multiple replacement tips. Do not recommend.

Excellent product. In less than 15 minutes my whole shower area looked like new. It's been few weeks now and the grout is still white. Don't waste your time reading negative reviews saying that the tip falls apart after few minutes. Just make sure you don't press too hard and always draw one way angled opposite direction.

I had tried everything to get my bathroom floor grout clean, bircab soda crystals, white vinegar, steam cleaning and even grout chemical cleaner. The grout itself was actually clean but was stained. I used this grout whitening pen which is essentially like a paint. Goes on easily, although this is a painstaking job because you have to wipe any excess off tiles. I applied two generous coats a day apart, for the bright white effect - I used two pens in total. I then sealed it with a grout sealant to make waterproof. The results are amazing. Would definitely recommend.
