Product Description
Introducing Acer's ED323QUR 31. 5 Inches curved gaming monitor - the WQHD resolution monitor that can keep up with your game play. Through AMD Radeon Free Sync technology, the game's frame rate is determined by your graphics card, not the fixed refresh rate of the monitor, giving you a serious competitive edge. Plus, users can enjoy comfortable viewing experience while gaming via flicker-less, low dimming and Comfy View display. The design saves space on your desk and lets you place multiple monitors side by side to build a seamless big-screen display. (UM. JE3AA. A01). The brightness is 250 nit.

I added some pictures but they don't do justice to it 4K video abilities. This monitor looks very good in 4K.
I am using this monitor in its native resolution at 144Hz driven by my MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Gaming X 8G Graphics Card and it works perfect - no tearing at all just great viewing. I find this monitor with my graphics card to be very fast and responsive.
The only down side to this monitor is its brightness at only 250 Nits, so a true 4K display its not but it sure looks good.
This in my own opinion is a great monitor and a great price. If it last and has no repair problems then I will have a real winner.
Very satisfied and would recommend for a great buy.

The screen is HUGE (coming from a 24-inch) and the color settings out of the box are workable to start, although you can tweak them to your liking. No speakers but I almost consider that a plus, since I've never had a monitor with speakers that sounded better than a kid's walkie-talkie. Cannot comment on the Freesync because we don't have the right graphic cards for it.
You can do a quick search to find and install Acer's display widget, which is very nice in that it allows you to change settings on the desktop and includes the option to have different display settings for different programs or games. It also has a built-in split screen setup with several layouts to choose from. That's very handy and with a monitor this size, I use it a lot to multitask.
But even if you don't get the widget, this is probably the first monitor I've owned where the controls do not want to make me pull my hair out. There is a little joystick on the back and it works just as you'd expect it to work. You push in to activate it or select, and you push up, left or right and the option selection moves the same. It's a simple thing but it's really nice to have controls that are intuitive.
I've never had a curved screen, but it's very nice. Between the size, higher refresh rate and the curve, games are VERY immersive and we are enjoying the games we've been playing more than ever because we're seeing a higher level of detail and you really feel like you're in the game as opposed to watching the game on a screen.
The only design complaint was the way the cables go in when you set up is very awkward. This is, however, a one-time frustration and not a daily issue, so it's easy enough to overlook.
I would not hesitate to recommend this monitor to anyone. We love ours!!
Second, the brightness is trash however the best settings I suggest is 100 brightness and 80 contrast 2.2 gamma and normal color temp black boost 5-7.
Third, I used a display port and this may be a defect depending on each monitor, but I had constant flickering with my pc and if I touched the display cord it would take a while to turn on but I am sure this is just a defect. If you use a display port cord and you have a NVIDIA GPU or AMD............. YOU MUST TURN OFF FREE SYNC ASAP!!! This is for the case for people who encounter of flickering. This also applies for overdrive, trust me when I say most of the time using free sync and any feature similar isn't worth its performance for most cases.
Finally, the good review. This monitor displays beautiful colors and I use this for gaming and work primarily but also do photo and video editing as well. I would say it would take some time for accurate color correction to get it set up. It overall is a great monitor and I would say it has done its job showing images and videos lol.
- It's large. Super immersive for gaming just by the size alone. My 24" monitors look puny in comparison.
- Great value. I wanted 1440p, 120Hz+, VA or IPS panel, 27"+ for a reasonable price. This checked all the boxes and more. It might not be quite as nice as a $500+ monitor, but it's certainly good for its price.
- Curve is nice. I forget it's curved when I sit down in front of it.
- The pixel density is about the same as the 24" 1080p monitor on my desk right next to it, so I don't have to deal with scaling issues.
- Pixel response times are very good. There's practically zero noticeable ghosting.
Cons:
- It took a lot of work to get the white balance right. I messed around with the OSD for a bit and just couldn't seem to get it there. I ended up using the Windows color calibration tool. I ended up turning the blue down considerably and turning the red down slightly.
- The black boost is terrible. Turn it off! It's on by default. It makes everything washed out. I was really starting to regret my purchase until I discovered this setting.
- It seems like I have to choose between having blacks blur together or having whites washed out. I went for the better contract on bright colors.
- The stand is kinda flimsy, but I didn't expect much. At least it has a vesa mount.
Top reviews from other countries
my old display was a 22" 1080p tn monitor so when I turned this monitor on I was legitimately stunned, this screen is beautiful. Before I purchased this I was thinking 32" would be too big but after using it for a bit I don't think I will ever go smaller than 32". From the reviews it seems like some people had issues with their panels like dead pixels or lines but so far mine is working great with no issues. Freesync works as intended. 144hz is really nice in FPS games compared to 60hz. You can definitely tell the difference between the two, even in windows moving around the mouse & scrolling is much smoother.
It really sucks.
It is a good screen, but this alone means that I'm stuck with a dud screen unless I'm willing to pay 200$ CAD just to get it replaced.
This review is for the 32" AcerED323QUR, 1440P which I purchased on Prime day for $359.
This monitor replaced my 25" 1080p 240hz TN panel, since I no longer play FPS games competitively. Decided to opt for a larger monitor for casual play, and I'm glad I went for 1440p for 32". The pixel density matches 1080p at 24".
I can definitely notice a difference coming from 240hz 1ms, but its marginal, and a non-issue for most games. I also like that it's G-sync compatible at 120hz.
Note, since this monitor is not too popular, it might take some times to calibrate the colors to your liking, especially without a tool.
