Have been using Scanpans for 15 years or so now and they are wonderful for cooking and easy to clean if properly cared for. The secret is to not use excessive heat and to hand wash to maintain the seasoning. I use a quick spray of a non stick cooking oil when I use my pans and have never had a problem with cleanup. The pans cook evenly on my gas range. They can even be used in the oven up to about 500 degrees.
You can ruin even the most expensive pans by burning them. Keep heat to moderate , clean by wiping out or hand washing. These pans will last a lifetime if cared for properly.

No replacement handle?
I like the Scanpans. They clean easily and distribute heat well. However, the handle of one of my pans broke in the dishwasher. As you can see from the photograph, it would be a very easy repair. Alas, Scanpan does not offer a replacement handle and the pan handle was not part of the "lifetime" guarantee. I cannot support a company that does not offer replacement parts for such an easy repair.
