使い勝手が悪そうな書き込みを拝見いたしましたが、いきなり本番に使うからそう感じたのであって、前もって徹底練習して無意識に使えるようにして、本番に挑めば全く問題ございません。何処かの軍隊なんか目隠しして銃の分解と組み立ての練習するそうだけど、それから見ればちょろいちょろい。むしろこの軽さは凄い武器です。撮影中なんか、気軽に労せずに場所を移動させながら撮影できたし。自分的には全く重さを感じないし。これで重たいという人がいたら、普段はお箸よりも重たいものを持たないお方なのでしょう。確かに、重たい金属製に比べたら平地での安定性は気分的には劣る気がするかもしれませんが、一脚角度を変えれるので傾斜面での安定性はこちらの方が圧倒的に上です。野外でこれまで置けなかったところに置ける。これは頼もしい(*^-^*)下位のLS-50C－に比べて、掃除しやすそうだし。買い増しするつもりであります。

前のモデルの足は縦方向の力には強かったのですが、横方向の力には頼りない感じもありましたが改善されています。

以前購入したUnplugged studioのライトスタンドをロケーション撮影中に倒して踏みつけて破損させてしまった事から、新たに購入が必要となり、kingのKCLS-01とニッシンのLS-50Cとこちらで比較検討した上で、こちらを購入。

以前買った物は重く長く、持ち運び時の可搬性が頗る悪かった為、リピートせずに逆折れタイプで軽量な物を改めて探しました。

比較した3品の中では最も高額で重さもあるが、100g程度であれば移動時にもそこまで気にならないと判断し、脚がカーボンで頑強そうな物をチョイス。

本格的な使用はこれからだが、室内で様々使用した感じでは、自重に対して一定以上の安定性もあり、非常に満足の行くモノであると感じる。

ポール部の締め付けねじを回して延長や収縮をしますが、このネジ部が完全に緩めないと、
ポールがスムーズに動きません。
これはとてもストレスになります。
カーボン同士の擦れがよくないようで、今後同じ製品を欲しいとは思いませんでした。
持ち運びの軽さ、コンパクト化はとてもいいです。
ただし軽い分ちょっとした風ですぐ倒れますので要注意。
この製品のメリットは一本足だけ独自に角度が変えられるので、屋外の使用に適していると思います。
平たんな場所でしか使わない予定であれば、この製品はお勧めできません。

I purchased this stand to see how it would stack up against my more traditional portable aluminum stands for use with a Profoto B10 and/or B2 travel kit. After unboxing and using it around the studio for a bit, here are my initial opinions:

(1) Build quality is good, maybe even a bit better than I was expecting. So no complaints. I'm sure that over time it will require some minor maintenance, but that's going to be with any stand.

(2) The folded length of just under 20" is definitely eye opener, especially when compared to the aluminum, 34" (folded) stands I've been lugging around. Definitely no complaint here. And the weight is significantly less.

(3) The Profoto B10 is right at the capacity limit for this stand. Adding a reflector or some other modifier makes it a tough call. The stand did seem more comfortable holding the B10 + Magnum reflector when not fully extended. That is, I closed the top-most extension tube, making it look less like an sport angler with a marlin on the line.

(4) The B2 heads are each ½ the weight of a B10 and fared some better. However, they are actually more front heavy than the B10, which seemed to put some bending strain on the stand. In neither case (B2 or B10) would I set this thing up outside without some form of ballast on one of the legs. Even at reduced height it wouldn't take much to topple it.

(5) No doubt it could handle the more typical Nissan/Nikon/Canon flash without a problem, as they are about ½ the weight of a B2 and ¼ the weight of a B10 head. Plus, such strobes are far less likely to sport a wind-mongering modifier.

I plan on taking it out into the real world this coming week, with the B2 kit, to see how it fares. I'm confident that it can handle the B2, even at full extension, as long as I keep the kit bag or battery pack holding down the off balance leg.

Lot better then to previous model. These don't have any issues. Easy to pack in a carry on and super light. Best stand out in this size. The 65c is best if you need a 2 ft taller and double the capacity. The 65 is a lil heavier and longer when collapsed.

I recently purchased this to use as a light stand. It's very cheaply made, frustratingly instable, and absolutely not carbon fiber. Unless I was sent a knock-off there is no way I can recommend spending the money for this. That is, value for cost is terrible. It's very cheap plastic in a carbon fiber print with chintzy and sticky tension points. I am reticent to mount anything larger than 2-3 pounds for fear that it might fall and damage whatever I've mounted. I am far happier with the BESNFOTO Photography Lightweight tripod which was $40. Do not recommend.
