We have a new mission – to own the backyard. We want to get kids off the screens and back outside so that they can experience the same passion for outdoors that we did while growing up. Remember when we had to get back home for dinner because the street lights came on? Kids these days don’t know that rule. We’re doing our best to change that!
-
How did we get our start?
In the early 1900's, George Hansburg formed Flybar, Inc. which has since become the world's largest pogo stick manufacturer. Flybar has sold over 25 million pogo sticks in nearly every country worldwide.
What have we been up to?
Flybar has continued to expand. In addition to pogo sticks, we offer foam pogo hoppers, trick boards, animal hoppers, hopper balls, ride-on vehicles, skateboards, scooters, safety gear, sleds, preschool toys and more.
Why do we love what we do?
We believe in healthy, active play and want to bring joy and smiles for generations to come.

Fresh out of the box, I examined it for any imperfections in order to write a full and complete review. Right out of the box, I lubricated it using CRC 05074 Heavy Duty Silicone Multi-Use Lubricant - 7.5 Wt Oz. . I started jumping on normal ground, no grass, no dirt. In only 1 hour of jumping, paint started to chip off the nails/bolts/screws, the foam started to rip near the foot area (My foot makes tight contact with the foam at the bottom when I jump without hands.)
I feel like this pogo stick was made for people shorter than 5'. I'm a couple inches taller, and I don't fell completely comfortable. The paper/instructions says that the spring needs some softening and breking in, but it felt pretty good. I'm not sure how high this can go, but it does depend on weight; I'm pretty satisfied with the weight.
Other/Most reviews say that the tips fall off in a week/month/whatever and it's no longer usable. For a little over $5, tips can be replaced via a form included. Other parts can also be replaced. For my 1 hour, the tip was perfect, but that could change later.
I take care of this very well, I lubricate it constantly, always wipe of dust, dirt, and I super glue all foam ripping off.
FIRST IMPRESSION SUMMARY:
Good:
Nice look/pattern (Black and Silver)
Good air
Good grip on foot pads (but 50% grip depends on your shoe)
Durable tip (1 week constant jumping)
Comfortable foam handles
Bad:
Paint chips on screws
Foam slightly ripping
A little small (I'm 5' 3")
Collects dust on the bottom
Foam Handles are glued. (Looks cheap, looks like its going to peel)
When wearing shorts, the foam causes too much friction against the legs when not using hands. Burns.
Lightning patter cracking and peeling.

UPDATE:
So far, its been about two weeks, the pogo stick still matches up with the review above. I inspect, clean, and lubricate my pogo stick constantly.
Another Update:
4/1/13 - This pogo stick is still alive, I still lubricate it, and it's fine. No problems.
7/20/13 - Regular use, no problems with the function. I'm sure the spring softened up a bit. Regular scratches, foam torn, but that rubber tip is still very strong.
I'm 6'2" and weigh a few more pounds than my son. I tried this pogo a few times and I'm really not that good. It isn't the pogo stick, it is me. I just haven't logged the practice time. The last pogo I used as a kid was your basic old style pogo like the first one we bought my son. My son weighs less than me but he has NO problem controlling this thing and can pogo precisely where he wants. I read the reviews about this being too stiff, hogwash. If my son can do it then it is just a matter of practice, sticking with it and learning to keep your balance those first few stiff bounces until you get the springs working. It is sad so many people expect instant results and aren't willing to log some hours of practice before they toss something in the "too hard" pile.
