This is an excellent guide! I think it's so important to have straightforward and clear resources for those looking to explore self healing. Its so refreshing to find good information, that is looking to help people, help themselves. This was a fantastic read, and has helped me a lot in my plans to explore microdosing in a safe and healthy way. Its so unfortunate that psychadelics have such a stigma about them, and i think this is a productive step into changing the dialogue to help us as humans get back to our roots, look inside ourselves and connect with each other.

I never thought id see the day where we could educate about something so dear to me, I only wish that i had this guide years ago.

Seriously, thank you so much

I hate to take off a star, but I want to leave an honest review. This book was helpful, but it doesn't set you up with all that you need to know. I started microdosing after reading this, but the instructions were quite vague. I feel like I need a full on, very detailed explanation before I start doing something like this. The author talks a lot about silicon valley and entrepreneurs microdosing, and has a whole chapter devoted to information I wasn't even interested in. It seems like this book was written to advertise his online venture "The Third Wave". He kept referring to that and also the "The Psychedelic Explorer's Guide" by James Fadiman. I don't want to go pay to interact with his online community, when I already paid to purchase the book. I felt the book should have enough info on its own. One useful thing is the list of sources. I ended up purchasing James Fadiman's book in hopes of a more thorough read. This book isn't terrible, but if you really want to get into microdosing, I recommend skipping this and going straight for the sources he mentioned.

If you’re curious about the myriad ways that psychedelics can impact your life and society at large, this book may be of interest to you. Beyond the practical advice for sourcing and experimenting with psychedelic substances on your own, Austin places these substances in the wider contexts of psychology, creativity, business and leadership. As the stigma on mind-altering substances steadily recedes in the western world, the curiosity will only grow, and people will ask more and more questions about how psychedelics can positively impact their own lives and careers. Austin attempts to answer as many of these questions as he can in this book.

Thank you Paul for your great book containing all aspects of microdosing and the inspiration of consciousness- expansion that we may look forward to. I am in the process of weaning off Cymbalta and will be starting microdosing in about a month and a half from now and your book will be my guide in that. Thank you as well for your third wave website and podcast. I believe your work will contribute to the change of draconian laws that should never have been enacted and that have been a huge detriment to the well-being of thousands of people with depression, PTSD etc.

Paul is one of the best sources on microdosing out there today. This guide is a cohesive and complete resource on the subject matter. His story is relatable and interesting. The research, background, and science presented is incredibly useful. I can't recommend this book more!

Nothing here you either: [1] didn't already know [2] could have guessed [3] can reason out for yourself with 6 seconds of thought, or [4] can find on Vaults of Erowid, Mycotopia, Shroomery, The Nexian, or elsewhere on the web without much effort. But if you like being reminded of the obvious - in case you feel insecure in your own observations - and are satisfied with advice/info on the level of "if you feel sick, you should see your doctor", and "To meet people with similar interests, find out where they are, and hang out in those places" then you'll be happy with this book and feel like it made a contribution to your understanding of microdosing & psychedelic substances.

I suppose the main hindrance here is that the subject deals with possible illegalities while the author does not want attention from law enforcement, and thus is restrained from dealing with the majority of issues involved with microdosing, which does not leave much to discuss that you could not have guessed for yourself.

It would be similar to a book on folk remedies/alternative healing by someone who wholeheartedly supports the Medical establishments approach to healing, and so does not tell you much other than "go see your doctor at the 1st sign of any irregularities" and "try to eat healthy food", but does not want to rock the boat or suggest avoiding doctors, which would really have to be the point of such a book. In other words, don't think for a moment that this book will help you in any significant way to source the needed supplies for actual microdosing.

The best you can do with this info is to find - maybe by trial and error? - some kind of therapist who can legally administer them. Then if you're 1 of the lucky people who have large chunks of money left over after your living expenses, you can dabble in therapist hunting to see if you can find that magic situation where they will accommodate your desire to experiment with psychedelics. Good luck with that.

5.0 out of 5 stars Una portafinestra verso la libertà individuale
Reviewed in Italy on April 16, 2018
Consigliatissimo.
