Skydiving, Skinny-Dipping and Other Ways to Enjoy Your Fake Boyfriend
By: Sarah Zolton Arthur
Narrated by: Amanda Stribling

I really this enjoyed this book, it is well written, well told and it contains a lot of heart. The storylines are interesting and original, they held my attention from start to end. The characters are complex and well developed. I adored Kami, her determination to get past her fears by using her inner strength and allow her bravery take over. I also adored Lennon, how he supported and encouraged her. I had my suspicions of who he really was I still wondered what his deal was, was he for real or not. And while my suspicions were correct, I still loved who he turned out to be, it added a nice twist to the story and it kept me wondering. Kami may have started all these challenges to show her Ex she was not boring but in the end it was all for her, personal growth being happy with oneself. I liked these two together, they were good for each other. And those challenges and adventures were awesome, there were some great laugh out loud moments. I recommend this fast paced, fun story, it has it all drama, action, twists, some thrilling moments as well as a build up to a great romance. Sarah Zolton Arthur thank you for this greatly entertaining story and the emotional rollercoaster ride. Thanks for the laughs too.

I listened to the Audible edition, Amanda Stribling is a talented narrator and voice performer. She brings these characters to life, gives each their own voice and personality as well as heart and attitude. She does an amazing job projecting the characters emotions into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another wonderful listen🎧

Fun afternoon read. Beginning was slow, drawn out... then it picked up speed. The big reveal. Then the happily ever after.

I truly enjoyed listening to Len and Kami's story. The narrator did a great job bringing them to life and distinguishing between the voices. The plot is well written and flows nicely. The laugh out loud moments are great, and even the sad moments have so much warmth to them. You really get to understand how each brought them to this point in their lives. This was my first book by this author, but it won't be my last.

The book was cute. After realizing that she had been cheated on by her ex, Kami decided to become more adventurous. She meets Len and he helps her come up with some (pretty funny) adventures that challenge her “boring” existence. My favorite was the hot wings contest (mostly because I would totally do that as well). In order to get back at her ex, they pretend to be involved but of course, Kami starts to have real feeling for Len.

Kami is so adorable (she doesn’t curse so the alternatives are cute) and Len is a sweetheart who takes really good care of Kami, while challenging her in the best way possible. Poor Kami has a lot of heartache and self imposed guilt. I love how Len worked through that with her too. The best part is all the food they consumed :o)

But overall, it was a sweet book with a bit of angst towards the end. But it was a happy book about finding oneself.

I received the audiobook upon request and this is my honest review. in terms of the audiobook, Amanda Stribling is fantastic- great modulation of tone, played all the characters perfectly and she represents Kami so well, bringing humor, anger sadness and all other types of emotion when relevant. I was amazed how she was able to represent a crying woman and a calm, confident man all in one conversation. Such a fun listen.

This book has typos, wrong words used, and words left out galore. All these things happen on occasion, but the amount done here shows a serious lack of good editing. Beyond that, it was obvious early on Len and Leo were the same person, and the excuse as to why the different name was lame. I like how she faced her fears. However, the way this was written made it sound like people who weren't risk takers were lesser humans. It talked about her wanting to be adventurous but not dangerous, yet some of her choices toward "taking a risk" were just that - dangerous. Len's character felt forced, as his change of heart was unrealistic and out of the blue, and his supposed initial interest was not shown.

The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole story, I found myself in love with not only the characters but also the world that was created.

The descriptions of the characters and their feelings are so involved, you can truly picture it in your mind. Their attitudes toward the events that are happening makes the story even richer.

This is the 2nd book I've read written by Sarah Zolton Arthur; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the chemistry between the characters.
